Carina Lau Prepares for Pregnancy After Marrying Tony Leung

After winning the Best Actress title in China's Golden Rooster Awards earlier, rumors abound that Carina Lau Ka Ling secretly tied the knot with long-time beau, Tony Leung Chiu Wai.

Although Carina denied marriage rumors, she admitted that she was pondering marriage at this point. Mainland actor, Jiang Fan, revealed that Carina and Tony have already applied for a marriage license.

Carina was also rumored to be preparing for pregnancy. She also accepted the doctor's recommendation to quit her long-time smoking habit. Since Carina smoked for many years, it was excruciating to try to quit. Fortunately, her friends found an effective method to assist her.

Jiang Fan revealed that an executive in the industry slipped the news that Carina and Tony were already married. They only spent $1,000 Yuan on a simple marriage ceremony.

Jiang Fan also posted a photo of Carina and Tony's locket, which had the date July 4, 2007 engraved on it. Allegedly, Carina requested a friend to acquire the locket at a temple in Tai Lake.

Reporters tried to authenticate the story and discovered that the locket was purchased through an faith website. The website manager acknowledged that Carina requested a friend to place the order for her. Since Carina was a well known celebrity, her Chinese name was not used for the order.

Carina's manager in China refused to respond to the marriage rumors. Carina and Tony's managing agent in Hong Kong also refused to answer as well.

Jayne: Perhaps the marriage rumors are real this time. I do think that Carina wants to get married, but was only waiting for Tony to say yes. As for her intention to have children, we'll have to wait and see. Since Carina's good friends, Faye Wong and Sandra Ng are mothers, I do believe that Carina may want to have children of her own as well. It will be an exciting development if these rumors are true.

Both Carina and Tony's careers are well established for them to take a little break to start a family.

That's great news! I hope it is true! I;ve been waiting so long for Carina and Tiny to tie the knot (or rather for Tony to sum up courage and propose)! They have been through so much together and I think that marriage would do them both good considering recent rumours of them splitting up. And Tony woudl definately benefit. I always had felt sorry for him when he said that he has no faith in marriage since his parents split up.
