Kevin Cheng & Charlene Choi Promote New Movie "Vermicelli King"

Kevin Cheng Ka Wing, Charlene Choi, Leo Ku, Sam Mei, Wong Ho Shun, Benz Hui Siu Hung etc. appeared at a press conference in Beijing to promote their new movie, "Vermicelli King" 《粉絲王》. Producer Wong Jing was also present.

"Vermicelli King" focuses on fans' obssession with their idols. Kevin indicated that when he was a student, his idols were Chow Yun Fat, Maggie Cheung Man Yuk, and Jacky Cheung Hok Yau. Kevin was obsessed with Jacky's music and bought all of his released albums.

Kevin revealed that he has loyal fans who have supported him for the last 14 years. In "Vermicelli King," Kevin's character's name is Cheng Yan Yee, which shares the same phonetic sound as Lydia Shum's daughter's name, Joyce Cheng Yan Yee. Will Lydia be upset? "The name is just for fun, Lydia shouldn't mind!"

Kevin noted that he will be holding upcoming concerts with Joyce in the USA and Canada. Reporters pointed out that Jacky Cheung will be performing there at the same time. Kevin will definitely take the opportunity to enjoy Jacky's concert then!

Charlene's past record was sleeping 3 hours for 5 consecutive days during hectic filming schedules. However as she is older now, her stamina has decreased. Normally Charlene's health has been in good shape, but she often feels tired nowadays.

Is work worth the sacrifice of one's health? Charlene answered, "I don't hate my job, but I feel that acting and singing should be handled separately with adequate scheduling. I protested with the company, but in order to meet the market demand, there is nothing they can do!"

"However the filming for this movie has been very enjoyable. I had a lot of fun when we filmed a rape scene with Sam Mei." Sam Mei added, "Yep I am the second Tsui Kam Kong [a former porn star]."
