Growing up the United States, the Lunar New Year does not carry significant meaning for Fala Chen. This is Fala's second Lunar New Year spent in Hong Kong. As TVB will halt filming for 3 days due to the New Year holiday, Fala is happy for a little break.

Fala has been implicated in Bosco Wong and Myolie Wu's romantic rumors recently, but she insisted, "I am not dating now! But I hope to find the man of my dreams in the new year! My criteria is that the man has a quiet personality, so that we can read books and drink coffee together!"

When Fala is not busy working, she enjoys cooking. She prefers mild-flavored Japanese food. Over the Lunar New Year holiday, aside from having traditional New Year dishes with friends, she also went to a Japanese restaurant to learn how to make satay meats.
