Steven Ma and Fala Chen Display Special Sibling Bond With New Duet
Steven Ma (馬浚偉) and Fala Chen (陳法拉) are a pair of loving siblings whether it be onscreen or offscreen. Besides having portrayed siblings in two past TVB dramas, they also share a loving brother and sister relationship in real life. The two are comfortable in chatting about any topic. In order to show this special bond they share, Steven and Fala sang a sweet duet titled “A Non-Love Relationship” <非戀之情>. Its music video was earlier filmed in Tsuen Wan.
“A Non-Love Relationship” is the first duet from Steven and Fala. Steven expressed they have decided to use the song and music video to reflect their true sibling relationship rather than the ordinary romantic love between couples. The feelings poured into the song have been very realistic and it demonstrates the ever-lasting family love between a brother and sister.
Besides starring Steven and Fala, the music video also guest stars a 3-month old baby. While filming, they both took turns holding the infant to take photographs. Throughout the procedure, it was seen that Steven appeared more experienced in handling the infant. Meanwhile, Fala’s postures seemed a bit lacking.
Fala revealed her upcoming project is a comedy film, Cheung Po Tsai <張保仔>, in which she would be collaborating with Dayo Wong (黃子華) and Ronald Cheng (鄭中基). She revealed that Steven’s own production company currently has many scripts at hand. When Steven joined in the conversation and asked Fala to invest some of her money, she quickly joked, “I don’t have any money! Those are hard-earned!” Steven then accidentally slipped out, “Mine are ‘flesh money’!” When he realized his statement could have other implications, he laughed and exclaimed, “It should be ‘money of blood and sweat’!”

I always thought of Fala as aloof and cold and not many friends in the industry. So I was surprised about how close she is with Steven. They do make a convincing pair of siblings.

Agreed, unless she sees the potential to ride their coattails. There are photos of her hanging all over popular men of the moment with THAT potential. I recall that photo of Fala with her arms around Koo Ming Wah and Louise Lee was looking at Fala with a “WTH?” look.

It’s a hug, big whoop! Your comment just shows how ridiculously sensitive some people can be, making a mountain out of a molehill.
If the artistes are not favoured by the fans here, they will usually be “bashed” with mean comments.
I just think people have to be a bit more fair. You can surely support your favourite idols/artistes/singers, but you don’t have to be mean to the ones whom you don’t like.

I think Steven is her closest friend from the industry. She seems to get along more with guys.
She actually have a group of friends from miss international that she hangs out with. Among guys, she’s only close with Steven.
my friend was in a beauty pageant w/ her. friend said fala was very aloof to everybody except the ones who she sees can benefit her like the sponsors and judges. she was cold and unfriendly to everybody else.

Maybe the “many scripts” is what Fala Chen “sees can benefit her”?
It’s unfair to make that kind of assessment on someone when you don’t even interact within said individual.
Fala may appear aloof but that does not mean she is someone who uses people.
lol, Steven is wise enough to choose his friends/sisters. Obviously, he sees whatever it is in Fala to consider her one of his closest. If she wanted more out of their friendship, then she would have joined his production company and be the leading lady.
From what I gathered from Steven’s interviews and posts, he sounds like a pretty down to earth guy.
I dont know fala personally but my cousin used to go to the same uni as her. He said shes friendly.
That is a good comment on Fala Chan. I have the feeling that Fala gets along better with guys as she is a very straight forward person who does not like to gossip. There are more gossips among girls, so probably she tries to avoid that.
I don’t know Fala Chan at all. I just like her face and acting; I don’t know or care much about her personality.
I just watch her as an actress, not as a friend. Why should I care too much about her “friendly” personality or not?
I think that also shows that regardless of how nice or mean anyone is that some like them and some will not. You click well with some while not with others. That is a fact of life since who can be liked by everyone???

wow……….i don’t really get what is this article is talking
about it just kept on talking which person that fala chen is filming with and plus it kept on talking about them both which is steven ma and fala chen……so i don’t really get what the article is talking about
yeah that is what i think i have watched some of her acting on tv but don’t really have to care of what her personality is……or her relationship with other people around her
I find Fala to be the most real the reason why some people think she don’t have any friends in the industry is because she doesn’t kiss up to anyone nor is she fake so it’s kind of a compliment when people say these type of things about her. A reason why she choose to leave is because she have principles, she doesn’t care about the money. One of the few honest genuine artistes in this lousy industry, she’s real. Most of the other artistes don’t even express their own opinions rather say things that they know people want to hear. Steven is a great example of a good man in this type of industry, basically these two have not been corrupted and that says a lot.

Fala is an American girl with no social skills, that is like the worst trait to have in any entertainment industry.
