2R Member Race Wong Holds Her Dream Wedding
One half of the pop duo 2R, Race Wong (黃婉伶), has tied the knot with her boyfriend of three years, David, in Singapore last Friday, November 25. Race met David, a Singaporean businessman, through mutual friends a few years ago. They started off as friends, before eventually becoming lovers a few months later.
“Every girl dreams of being a princess,” said Race. “My husband is great. He told me to do the wedding however I wanted it to be, so I’ve decided to do my own dream wedding.”
After tying the official knot on Friday, the couple invited their overseas friends for a dinner gathering on Saturday. Inviting only close family and friends to their ceremony, David preferred a simple party over a traditional wedding celebration.
Race said she was most touched by her older sister and 2R member Rosanne Wong (黃婉君), who flew to Singapore from Hong Kong to attend Race’s wedding. Rosanne and her family returned home on Sunday. “All that rushing just for her little sister’s wedding!” said Race.
The 34-year-old former singer shared that David had proposed to her two years ago in the United States, but due to work commitments, the couple couldn’t get around to having their wedding until this year.
“I’m happy that I’ve gotten this done,” said Race. “Now I can resume my focus on work, and enjoy marriage life as well!”
Though Race looked like she had a bulging belly in her wedding photos, she did not mention anything about having children with David.

That dress must of cost a fortune! It’s pretty but does make her look huge. Also HK isn’t that far from Singapore and being it’s her sister wedding…She’s pretty must expected to be there!!!
@happybi Totally agree. In fact, I like a bit simpler wedding gowns to show off the nice figure of the bride.
Also Singapore is pretty close to Hong Kong. Her sister could have done it on the same day (if needed).
@orchid123 Yep me too.. I like gown that show off more of the body. Something less extravagant as it can get very distracting.
Exactly. Singapore is not far at all.. Now if she said her sister travel all the way from the states to Singapore.. that’s a different matter.
