Felix Wong’s Wife Discharged From Hospital After Treatment For Scurvy
Felix Wong’s (黃日華) wife and former TVB artist Leung Kit Wah (梁潔華) was reportedly discharged from the hospital on January 20 and is expected to make a full recovery from scurvy, a condition caused by an insufficient intake of Vitamin C.
When news first broke that Mrs. Wong was admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit, some suggested that she was suffering from leukemia and had lost weight from rounds of chemotherapy. Since Felix, who is normally outspoken and active on social media, has remained uncharacteristically quiet since December, the media began painting a grim picture of his wife’s condition. In one report, Felix supposedly spent his wedding anniversary on December 7 by his wife’s hospital bed.
Their daughter, actress Adrian Wong (黃芷晴), refuted the rumors over the weekend and assured the public that she is optimistic about her mother’s condition. Felix later echoed his daughter’s response, saying that his wife is regaining her health and will likely be discharged before the Lunar New Year. He added that he will provide more details at a later, more appropriate time.
On January 21, Adrian’s manager clarified the situation on behalf of the family. Mrs. Wong apparently entered the hospital in mid-December and was diagnosed with scurvy. Although a rare and easily treatable illness in modern times, patients with more severe cases still require attentive care and observation. Since Mrs. Wong did not want to alarm family and friends, the family decided to keep the matter private.
After a month in the hospital, Mrs. Wong is now in good enough shape to return home. Her doctor is confident that she will make a complete recovery within the next six months. While scurvy is generally treated with simple changes to the daily diet, Mrs. Wong was also cautioned to avoid coming into contact with bacteria and viruses due to her weakened immune system. Although neither Felix nor Adrian made further comment on Mrs. Wong’s health, they are surely glad to be reunited with their loved one before New Year celebrations.

Mrs. Wong looks good in the above photo. I hope she will have a speedy recovery.
Scurvy…as in the sailors disease due to lack of fruit?
yeah in this day and age it’s surprising.
Exactly! Because even if she hates her veggies and fruits, there are all types of Vit C supplements. Probably something else is wrong which causes vitamin C to be unable to be absorbed by her body. Wish her well.
@Primrose
I am wondering this as well. I can’t believe that any person who can afford to eat well would contract the disease.
Unless maybe she went on some weird diet or developed an allergy to it.
I wish her well and am glad to hear that it’s something so simple to cure and not something as horrible as has been reported. – Although a month long hospital stay must have meant that it was serious.
If they can sue for reporting that she had leukemia, I think they should. – That is just slanderous reporting
(blatantly made up because they had no clue what it was she was really suffering from and made no attempt at investigation/confirmation), even if it doesn’t leave them with a negative rep.
Wow I never knew it was possible to get Scurvy at this day and age. She must REALLY HATE her fruits and veggies.
She might be on a crazy diet that hk-ers go on.
never heard of scurvy before…hope its not dangerous or terminally…hope she recovers well… above pic, felix looks younger than her..i never seen her acting before..maybe that time she is not leading
She acted before but many of her roles were either maid, prostitute better not watch because most of the role she played were cheap and not accountable for anything.
That is not true. She played sone roles that were more than just cameos,maids or prostitutes. In the Blood Stained intrigue, she played a supporting but noticeable role. Also in the Twilight of a Nation and the Legend of Luk Siu Fung,she played supporting but noticeable characters. However, i guess those of you who were too young and did not watch the series back then will not remember her. I feel so old…
I just re watched the Blood Stained intrigue recently and her character was a bit annoying but pitiful. She looked really pretty in that series though. You guys should see it if get the chance.
@kiwi: Hmmm…did you even watch any of her previous performances? Because Leung Kit Wah definitely didn’t just play ‘maid’, ‘prostitute’, or only ‘cheap’ roles as you claim. I actually quite liked her character as well as her portrayal in Luk Siu Fung where she played Austin Wai’s wife (not a ‘prostitute’ or ‘maid’ mind you…), which was one of her more prominent roles.
Sure, it’s true that Kit Wah was never a prominent actress in that she was always just 3rd or 4th tier level, but that doesn’t mean her performances were not worthy of watching….
名門, 夢斷銀城, 鱷魚潭, 大城小子, 楚留香之蝙蝠傳奇 these are some of the series that she took part in. Twilight of a Nation to play a role like that LOL. That look of her isn’t nice to look at and every role she played were either slut maid all kind of bad role. Not only that she made herself look bad her partner as well. It takes one to know one. Wrong career girl.

@kiwi,
You must really hate Leung kit-Wah. If i remember correctly,she did not act in Chor Lau heung. It is Only acting and no not every role she played was a maid or prostitute. You clearly did not watch all of her series back then to make such comments. Since she was only a supporting actress, you really wonder if she even had a choice but to take what she got. Why is she making herself look bad by only acting in minor or supporting roles? She is not robbing,killing or doing something bad. If playing minor or supporting roles is bad then many artists of today who are not playing the lead are making themselves look bad too. I just do not get where your logic is.
Just because she may have played those roles, doesn’t mean she IS those roles.
She must be something really special since Felix could have probably had ANY girl in HK at that time and he chose her.
It’s not like TVB are known for being able to spot talent when it slaps them in their faces.
I’m glad Mrs. Wong is discharged and gets to spend the Lunar New Year at home with her loved ones.
Glad she is better and can spend the New Years with family rather than in the hospital.
too much pesticides in our veg nowadays that it doesn’t taste the same anymore, good to plant own veg, in japan, plots of govt / personal lands are being rented out for a small fee
I rather read about Jamie Chik and Michael Mui. These two are not my favorite. She’s a joke of the town and especially her cheating on him long time ago and he himself LOL.
If so, then why come here if you hate Felix and Leung kit Wah so much?when did she cheat on him? Oh wait I remember reading about that rumour years ago but I do not believe it was not true. Felix even defended her for it. I do not think he would have defended her if she really did cheat on him.
Go google it. He himself indirectly confirmed she did. Hate is just too much. I just don’t like them LOL.
@kiwi: I don’t understand the logic. If you hate them so much, why even bother to comment? And you ‘hate’ them why? Because of cheating rumors and Kit Wah being a minor actress who played roles that you felt were ‘cheap’? Hmmm…if that’s the case, you should hate 90% of the HK entertainment industry then, since majority of the artists start off in low positions playing what you define as ‘cheap’ roles and work their way up (and in the entertainment industry, there will always be rumors/gossip about the artists’ relationships)…why even bother reading any entertainment news then??
@kiwi,
You believe everything you read in the papers? When the heck did Felix admit to her cheating on him? If she did cheat on him, I highly doubt he would stay with her. I think you hate them and it us not just dislike. I really do not get your logic at all.
Well said llwy12! You said what I wanted to say.
By the way, even famous stars of today like Andy, Tony and many others all started out as extras and very minor roles to work their way up to where they are now. I guess you hate them and everyone else in the circle too.
ROFL, this whole incident is a prime example of why you shouldn’t trust everything you read in the newspaper. I wonder if Kiwi still thinks she has leukemia lol.
It must be true if it was widely reported, despite the fact that it is proved she had scurvy.
No complaints when it comes to Andy Lau, Tony Leung and Tony Leung Ka-Fai. But Those two LOL.
You have no logic and are so bias.
LOL.
@HTS: I’ve come to the conclusion that this kiwi person is probably a troll. No point in ‘arguing’ with someone who is likely delusional and whose comments don’t even make sense….it’s an absolute waste of time. This is the last comment from me in this particular thread.
@llwy12,
You are right and I will waste anymore time on this troll either.
Meant to say will not. Gosh, I need the edit button.
LOL.
LOL.
Why must people use the word cheap to describe another? Anyway, we don’t even know her personally, why so quick to judge? She is an actress though not first line, she was earning a decent living and I am sure she is a nice person else Felix will not be with her for so long as back then Felix was very well known. Cheating or not is for them both to know but please be more careful with our words to describe another.
She’s nice, Felix nice and we all nice. Happy and happy.LOL. I’m getting out of here.
LOL.
LOL.
Scurvy?! Wow… somewhat embarrassing 😛 Hope she recovers and starts eating fruit and veggies 😛
