Hawick Lau and Yang Mi Obtain Marriage Certificate
Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi (楊冪) flashed their wedding bands today and announced that they have gotten their marriage certificate! The couple will hold their wedding celebration on January 8, 2014, a date especially chosen to commemorate when Hawick had announced he was dating Yang Mi two years ago.
Meeting on the set of 2011’s Ru Yi <如意>, 39-year-old Hawick Lau and 27-year-old Yang Mi’s romance progressed eventfully. The couple also starred in the film Holding Love <Hold住愛> and popular drama, Sheng Xia Wan Qing Tian <盛夏晚晴天> together. Since relocating from Hong Kong to mainland China, Hawick’s career had an extraordinary turnaround. Both Hawick and Yang Mi rank high on the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list, and their careers received a boost after opening their own production studios, adding to their influence and wealth in the mainland entertainment industry.
Yang Mi frequently visited Hawick’s family in Hong Kong, and Hawick’s parents saw Yang Mi as the ideal daughter-in-law. To make her feel more comfortable when traveling to Hong Kong, Hawick gifted her with two luxury homes. The gifts hinted at Hawick’s commitment and eagerness to start a home together with Yang Mi early in their relationship.
Hawick Announces Love Vows
The happy couple shared their exciting marriage plans with the public on November 13, 2014 through their Sina Weibo blogs. After posting a picture of their wedding rings, Yang Mi wrote, “This is what happened. Everyone can send their blessings!”
Hawick followed with a more reflective post, “Holding your hand, let’s grow old together. I’m finally able to appreciate the beauty of this phrase; I just want to say that afterwards, we’ll walk the path [of life] together. If you get tired, you can lean over and I’ll carry you while walking slowly. Thanks for willing to give me your hand! Thanks to your mom and dad for their unlimited trust! Thanks everyone for your blessings! January 8, 2014 is the special day when we will hold the wedding. The young sapling has finally grown up.”
Yang Mi Hopes Good Friend, Tiffany Tang, Finds Happiness Too
After getting married with Hawick, Yang Mi also wished that good friend Tiffany Tang (唐嫣) will find happiness as well. Tiffany has remained single since her tearful breakup with Roy Chiu (邱泽), but she hopes that by next year, she will find a new boyfriend. Tiffany said, “Yang Mi is very anxious, maybe because her love fate is very good. She often wants to introduce men to me and told me to hurry up.”

Congrats to Hawick and Yang Mi! The marriage announcement came earlier than I expected, since they only dated for 2 years. But you can tell Hawick is a man who moves quickly in love, as he already purchased Yang Mi those Hong Kong apartments last year. Those gifts prove a lot of sincerity and commitment for the future, and I’m sure Hawick has been planting the seeds of the marriage proposal before it actually took place.

I am rather confused with Yang Mi. On screen she seems so cold and aloof but from what I’ve read about her, she seems to be the friendliest co-star because a few girls are already proclaiming her as their best friend. This is rare because in showbusiness women usually fight with women. Anyway congrats to them.

hahaha…. Well for one, he speaks communicative Mandarin and both of them barely speak English I think from what they posted on facebook or whatever a while back even thou he was supposedly studying in Canada, his English does not sound that great so Mandarin it is. haha LOL..
In the States, you see some asians marrying foreigners and they barely speak any English so don’t be surprised hahaa LOL..

I seriously never even thought that Hawick Lau actually dated her? His taste in women really are different. I only remember he dated that Kindred Spirit girl n she is tiny and barely cute. Bernice is ok but so much bigger than him and then he dated some mainlander too but since she was NOT famous, no one even knew much ahaha.. big i have to admit he did really well w/this wife since she is plastic but they do look cute together.
Yang mi is not that plastic. She did have some minor enhancements but she pretty much looks like herself. Have you seen her childhood photos? She was already pretty and cute.
he also had plastic surgery and looks very different from before being famous. And Yang Mi was already very popular when he started dating her.
Well, plastic or not, we will know for sure when they have kids. Your true looks and DNA will pass onto your kids, NOT the fake plastic stuff.

I always thought so as well. In TVB, I always he was just another cute kid who never gets any significant roles so he was never promoted. But face wise, I don’t think hes changed much since he looks the same to me but we never know since PS probably is quite easy here and there. Not like korean ones, totally diff and obvious when they have PS ahaa..lol
