Knowing each other through reality dating show Meeting Mr. Right II <女兒們的戀愛2>, actress Joe Chen (陳喬恩) and wealthy Malaysian 2G Alan Chen (曾偉昌) found love and registered their marriage in 2022 after two and a half years of dating. As the couple did not formally have a wedding ceremony back then, recent news emerged that they intend to hold a small outdoor wedding banquet in coming September, inviting only close friends and family.

Through her work agency, Joe also teased the two’s pre-wedding photo shoot on social media and wished fans a happy Qixi or Chinese Valentine’s Day in advance. She expressed her satisfaction with the shoot, in which the 45-year-old was seen posing in both traditional Chinese qun gua and a western-style white wedding gown, as well as a red tube gown and beige casual wear, all in simple minimalist style which suited her personality to a T.
Dropping a behind-the-scenes video in various sweet interactions, the two were seen hand-holding, and gazing lovingly at one another, with Alan carrying Joe up in one photo. Despite being busy with their wedding preparations, Joe took time out to fulfil work commitments in Jeju, Korea, while Alan sweetly accompanied her on the work trip. A photo shared by netizens who spotted the pair dining at a restaurant in Jeju showed the two casually dressed. Seen in straw bucket hat and plaits, Joe looked girly and slim, evoking remarks that she was a true ageless beauty.
