Kate Tsui Hides Eye Doctor Boyfriend at Home for 4 Days and 3 Nights
The mystery of Kate Tsui’s (徐子珊) love life may finally be solved! On May 14th, Kate was spotted leaving her Residence Bel-Air apartment with hunky eye doctor boyfriend, Marvin Tse (謝偉業). Allegedly, Marvin spent 4 days and 3 nights at Kate’s apartment, while buying Kate her favorite roasted meats!
Discovering the presence of reporters, Kate stalled in the lobby, while Marvin sprinted ahead. The pair escaped being photographed together, while Kate insisted that they were only friends!
In the past, Kate often stated that she was single and interested in men who were in a better financial position that herself. She preferred men who can take care of her. It appeared that 32-year-old Kate Tsui found the answer in 41-year-old, divorced eye doctor, Marvin Tse, who resembled Japanese soccer player, Hidetoshi Nakata. Marvin taught as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Prince of Wales Hospital in the past. Currently, he owned two eye care clinics in the Central and Mongkok districts, specializing in cataract and orthopedic eye surgery. Marvin planned to open a plastic surgery site in the near-future, soliciting models to advertise for the new clinic via his Facebook account.
Dr. Tse Owed $1 Million in Tax Arrears
Despite his professional success, Marvin Tse was removed from the Medical Council of Hong Kong for two months due to over-promoting himself. He was put on probation for two years. In 2008, Marvin was discovered to owe the Hong Kong Tax department nearly $1 million HKD in tax arrears. Despite the lawsuits, Marvin was considered to be a “diamond bachelor,” often rumored with actresses and models in the entertainment industry.

In 2004, Marvin and his ex-wife divorced after 10 years of marriage. Kate did not mind that Marvin had two children from his first marriage. Marvin Tse allegedly possessed a penchant for beauty queens, being romantically linked with Margaret Chung (鍾麗淇) in 2005, after her ex-boyfriend, Joey Leung (梁榮忠) was caught kissing Queenie Chu (朱慧敏) in his car. Despite this, Margaret Chung, and models Pauline Yam (任葆琳), Rin K (椋名凜) denied ever dating Marvin.

An insider revealed that Kate and Marvin have been dating for 2 months. “Kate and Marvin were introduced by friends. Dr. Tse fell in love with Kate upon first sight. After pursuing Kate wildly for months, they started dating 2 months ago. Since Kate was climbing her way to the top [at TVB], she is very tight-lipped. However, Marvin’s friends know that he is dating.”

To escape the paparazzi’s notice, Kate and Marvin often had dates at her apartment. On May 11th, Marvin was spotted spending two hours to buy roasted meats, bringing them to Kate’s house afterward. On May 13th, after filming for TVB drama, Highs and Lows <雷霆掃毒>, Kate drove straight home, presumably with Marvin waiting to give her a sweet welcome.
The next day at 12 noon, Kate and Marvin emerged in the lobby of her residential complex. Marvin was helping Kate tow her yellow suitcase and intended to drive her to the airport. With the paparazzi hot on their trails, Marvin quickly sprinted away. Apparently, he put the yellow suitcase in Kate’s car while the paparazzi was taking her photo.
When the press asked Kate whether she was dating Marvin, she dodged the question at first. Finally, she answered, “We are still getting to know each other.” Asked whether Marvin had bought her roasted meats, Kate said, “I will not say too much.”
Kate left for the airport, flying to Australia to film for a TVB travel program.

Good for Kate, hope this Marvin is a good guy though. Is it possible the $1 million HKD in debt is from college and med school? If so, I’m not too surprised. I hope it isn’t just debt from overspending, that would make me feel uncomfortable too.

It appears that Marvin was being pursued by the tax department (after back-year audits??) that he owed $1 million in tax money. Marvin is already 41 years old and has been operating his own eye clinics for years. Based on his revenue from his eye clinics, he should have paid more money in taxes.
It could be that he evaded just a portion of the taxes. and the tax department only knew it after auditing it.
I don’t know the tax rate there, but $1m of tax sounds a lot to me. not $1m revenue, but tax, which should be around 20% (i assume) after all the deductions and other tax savings procedure.
Oh, I see. In that case, that makes me feel uncomfortable. He has the money and establishment, but not the stability. Reminds me of presidential candidate Mitt Romney only paying 15% tax rate. What Marvin’s doing seems a lot more shady though.

Haha.. Always regarded him as a player! Knew him a few years back when me and my crew did a night stop in HK and my gf introduced us.. He opened a bottle of Moët for us and told me his clinic is just above the club we were partying in.. First impression was him being generous and suave!
Subsequently, we kept in touch through Fb and watsapp and when I mentioned last year that I love hairy crabs and will be going to HK for some, he was really sweet to invite me and my bf to his house and offered to cook for us..
Anyways, to give him credit where it’s due, he really is very hunky and manly in person (quite unlike the pic above), is suave and polished and speaks fluent English.. He leads quite an extravagant lifestyle and I always see him surrounded with gorgeous girls on nice holidays.. Didn’t know his penchant for celebrities till now.. Didn’t know he has been divorced either.. Hmmm..
