Leanne Li Gave in to the “Devil’s Temptations” by Wearing Skimpy Outfits
TVB artistes Leanne Li (李亞男) and Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) have been in a stable relationship for nearly five years, with marriage plans in the imminent future. The couple is in a very stable relationship bound even stronger by their shared Christian values.
A very easygoing girlfriend, Leanne unexpectedly divulged details of a conflict she once had with Cho Lam at a recent church testimony. She even lamented, “I’m always the one giving in!”
Leanne also shared how her faith alleviated her loneliness and helped her stay grounded in the entertainment business. Growing up in Canada, Leanne was initially not used to the culture and fast-paced lifestyle in Hong Kong when she relocated there in 2005 to pursue her acting career. Without her family close by, she felt lonely and homesick. She recalled with much indignation, “There was a director who made a personal attack and said to me, ‘Leanne Li are you an alien? Go back to the planet you came from!'”
To make matters worse, Leanne’s lackluster Cantonese abilities limited her career opportunities, and she was frequently being compared with other actresses by the media. This made Leanne very insecure, and she admitted giving in to the “the devil’s temptations” by wearing revealing clothing and generating romantic rumors with co-stars, in an attempt to further her public exposure. Although these tactics worked, Leanne felt lost and unhappy.
Eventually, with the support of her church friends at House of Artistes, Leanne found herself again.

she’s pretty and i like her. i don’t think her cantonese is that bad. i don’t know why it’s hindering her career.
It was kind of iffy when she first started. her canto got a lot better though. she’s actually a pretty good actress, hope she gets more offers soon.
Her cantonese has improved, though I think she needs to improve more as well as her acting. Hope she gets more roles and likeable characters that forms in her.
Honestly, dislike her role (not she) in BHWS, it was a pity yet hated character, however she portrayed it quite well.
i think so too. she’s pretty. and i like her. canto not that bad either. as good as fala’s. in fact both from the same pageant. she was the winner and fala the runner-up. funny how life unfold.. fala’s already a first line actress. leanne is not any less capable
actually, Fala studied really hard to learn cantonese and even hired a vocal coach to teach her how to pronounce things correctly. Leanne only improved these few years with the help of bf Cholam.
The most I am wondering is Leanne how she can develop love story with wong cho lam? They are not matching at all!! She should find a guy at least the same high with her!! When they took picture together, I really feel sorry for her, because it looks weird. And when chu lam performed on the stage, he just looks like a young boy, doesn’t look like a grown up man. 🙁
No need to feel sorry for Leanne. She’s happy with Cho Lam. Feeling sorry for her and dissing her chosen boyfriend won’t help her. Feeling happy for her will.
I’m glad that she can ignore the view of the outsiders who have a fix narrow set of criteria for couples and go with her heart. With her looks and body and good girl personality, I’m sure she has no lack of pursuers. The fact that she chose Cho Lam means something.
Honestly, Wong Cho Lam is only lacking in height. He’s not drug addict, slacker, girlfriend abuser etc .What’s so bad about him that one need to feel sorry for Leanne?
I had always thought WCL was at least 5ft9 but I googled and it said he’s 5ft4 even shorter than me. But like Kidd said, he’s not a drug addict, slacker, gf abuser, then what more can a woman ask for? She has chosen him which means he has something that other men don’t. Seriously, just take a second and think what kind of women dress like that and for ‘what purpose’ do they dress like that? Any devil or devil with **** will instantly dissipate… Getting attention is one thing, getting too many unwanted attention is another.
She got the looks and body but her acting is still eh.
Her cantonese is very good now! & her acting has improved tremendously! Too bad TVB isn’t promoting her that well… I find TVB usually neglects those that shows promise in acting.. Like Leanne Li, Samantha Ko & Grace Wong!

Her enunciation is terrible. She rattles off her dialogue as if she’s rushing to catch the train. I don’t mind her in supporting roles but if she were the main lead in any drama, I’ll be sure to skip it. Too torturous on my ears.
I think she has improved a lot already plus she looks wonderful. TVB should give her more chances !!!
