Raymond Lam at Grandmother’s Funeral
The funeral for Raymond Lam‘s grandmother, Wong Dat Chi, was held in Hong Kong yesterday. Arriving at 3 PM to take care of the funeral arrangements, Raymond indicated that his grandmother was 95-years-old and died in her sleep. He fondly remember his grandmother for her cute and approachable personality. Asked whether Raymond’s emotions had stabilized yet, he said, “It’s okay. I left tickets for my grandmother at my upcoming July concert. I will convey the message in my heart then.
At the funeral parlor were Raymond’s cousin Lin Xia Wei, Raymond’s father, and other family members. Flowers were sent by EEG management, Joey Yung, Ron Ng, and others. The body of Raymond’s grandmother will be cremated and the ashes will be transported to Xiamen.
Later that evening, reporters asked Raymond about his recent rumors with Return to the Three Kingdoms co-star, Kaki Leung. Raymond protested, “Please don’t tease me!” (She helped you wipe your sweat?) “If that’s the case, the ‘aunties’ in TVB’s make-up studio often help me wipe my sweat. Then rumors can start too!”

Jayne: RIP to Raymond’s grandmother. Hope this will not make him too sad. She lived to a ripe old age and died a peaceful death. As long as the family keeps her spirit alive in their thoughts….
its really sad to hear such news, but it happen already, hope ray to be strong, poor him so many thing happen to him this year, he really care about his grandma he always say whenever has time he go to xiamen and visit his grandma, hope tomorrow he feel better and will be back work again.
RIP to his grandmother and condolences to him and his family.
95 is a good age and it was a peaceful death, that’s a blessing.
Is that his cousin?
Wow, his mother lived to a wonderful old age. He is so lucky that he had a grandmother to get to know.
R.I.P. to Raymond’s grandmother. My condolences to Raymond and his family
I’m sure Raymond’s grandmother’s thoughts will always be with them whereever she is. Raymond looks haggard, stay strong Raymond, your family needs your support right now!
Raymond don’t be sad, at least your grandma was able to share your tv and music success and unhappiness (when he was embroiled in that Mavis Pan scandal) with you before she passed on, I’m sure she doesn’t have any more regrets in life (other than missing the chance of seeing you have children of your own)
Yes, it’s too bad she can’t see the Lam grandson. She has grandsons but from the kids of her daughters. She has 9 children, 3 male and 6 female. LF’s father is the only one among 3 sons has sons, so the Lam family’s grandsons will be either LF’s son(s) or his brother’s son(s).
Wasn’t leung ka kei sweet on sammul Chan during filming of EU too? Though I can’t blame her for trying, I think she has about the same chance with ray as sam… slim to none.
Haha Josie! I agree with you! 😀 I can’t see Kaki together with either Raymond or Sammul and I can already imagine fans throwing eggs at Kaki.
R.I.P to Grandma Lam.
In terms of look, Kaki doesn’t seem to be Raymond’s type. But, it will be interesting to see what will his fans say if he’s truly dating Kaki.
If she somehow increases her bustline, she might suddenly become his type!
If you count me, then my answer is ok.
I say if he likes Kaki and she likes him, then I’m happy for him.
Not so bothered who he dates as long as he finds his happiness.
R.I.P. to Raymond grandma .
@ Jayne: His grandma’s name is Wong Dat Chi – 黄达治 (Lam Wong Dat Chi if include her husband’s surname in).
My condolences to him and his family.
As for the rumour with Kaki Leung, I guess I’m the only one here think it’s ok :). She isn’t a very pretty girl but she has a nice smile.
“As for the rumour with Kaki Leung, I guess I’m the only one here think it’s ok “
You are not. I like Kaki too. 😛
But, Kaki is not very well liked by the viewers. That’s why I’m curious about his fans’ reaction.
You can go to baidu or weibo to see. Some is negative, some is positive.
no wonder raymond didn’t go for the starhub tvb awards in singapore yesterday…
rest in peace grandma lam, i know no one will let their love one gone from this world.
