Ron Ng and Viann Zhang’s Romance is Over
Viann Zhang self captioned her own photo on Weibo, “That moment when love at first sight happened….”
Ron Ng (吳卓羲) and Viann Zhang’s (張馨予) relationship experienced much turbulence over the last year. Aside from getting into frequent fights with Ron’s fans, Viann was rumored to be a high maintenance and controlling girlfriend. Ron’s fans frequently prayed for the couple’s speedy break up; their wish may have come true! Viann left messages on her Weibo blog hinting that it was time to let go of a relationship, while still finding happiness with her single status!
Viann’s Alarming Break Up Messages
Viann had the habit of writing cryptic thoughts on her Weibo blog. Her recent blog posts hinted at a possible break up with Ron. While 25-year-old Viann loved 32-year-old Ron deeply, rumors circulated that the couple broke up after their relationship reached the point where it was beyond compromise.
Over the last 4 days, Viann left melancholy thoughts about love and disappointment on her blog. On June 24th, Viann hinted that her love for Ron had burned out, “Love is like the plague for human kind. It is incurable! All along, we will stupidly begin a relationship, but do not know how to end it. I hope that the person who had once brought me happiness will continue to be happy.”
On June 25th, Viann hinted at people falling in love foolishly, despite getting burned and a bleak future ahead. She wrote, “Foolish moths, they strive to find the light of the moon for their entire lifetime! Even if there were a fire ahead, they have to take the leap. The fool is willing, not considering that there is no end path. As long as there is foolishness remaining, there will be a willingness to be foolish.”
Viann’s message on June 26th indicated that no matter how unwilling, it was time to let go. “Like pruning flowers, you cut off the withered parts, leaving only the beautiful bits behind. Sometimes you are unable to let go of the mutual memories, rather than the person himself. One person can still be fine. Goodnight Beijing.”
Ron Ng Does Not Deny Breaking Up
After Viann left increasingly alarming messages on her Weibo, Ron Ng was contacted to confirm the status of their relationship. Ron did not deny that their romance may have burned out. Regarding Viann’s “break up” messages, Ron said, “She can say whatever she wishes to!” Ron and Viann did not discontinue following each other’s blogs yet.
Viann Unhappy With Ron
It was rumored that Viann requested the break up. The couple was often apart due to their work commitments, with Ron filming in Hong Kong and Viann spending her time in mainland China. Long distance separation was a permanent fixture in the relationship.
Viann’s frequent online spats with Ron’s fans were also a sensitive area that put Ron in an awkward position. Allegedly, Viann was upset that he was unwilling to step forward to publicly acknowledge that they were dating. This made Viann question Ron’s sincerity and responsibility towards her.
According to a source close to Viann, she still loved Ron deeply. However, Viann felt the need to end the relationship after being unable to withstand it any longer.
Viann’s manager, Jason, did not wish to comment on the break up rumors. Viann was busy filming a mainland drama and unable to be reached for comment.

Jayne: Viann’s Weibo blogs are quite obvious. Coupled with Ron’s response, I do believe that Viann had asked for the breakup. She did not see a future together with Ron, lamenting that she had foolishly fallen in love with him.

There is nothing with plastic but Viann is just too “perfect” imo to be TRUE. No one on earth could be this beautiful, there will always be flaws in them whther they are small flaws or major ones..
And Yes I do agree that it seems like “almost” all mainland actresses have this kind of face (barbie’s looks)… too much of artificials in themm sadly.

Imo, I think Viann should break up wtih him for good if he didnt want to aknowledge their relationship publicly but then again Ron is attach with TVB, HENCE the difficulty in revealing one’s relationship could be understand.

Ron has eventually “indirectly” admitted his relationship with Viann but never in a formal way.. I guess Viann just wanted their relationship to be announced in a GRAND WAY.
I think it is Viann who wore Ron down and finally knows that she can’t get anything more from him so wants to break up. I am guessing that Ron finally came to his senses and accepted the break up since high maintenance girls are like blood sucking leeches that get as much out of you as they can.

Veejay is definitely not a mean person and I can see where she is coming from. Some of my family members got breast implants but if course I will not openly say anything. However, others in my family often talk about them and gossip behind their back because many of the older people in my family are anti plastic surgery since they know the long term effects of it towards your health. Also, since it is fake you have to constantly maintain it which is even more dangerous and costly.

Well, I find it unnecessary for ppl who undergone PS just to be famous like Viann, Mavis n etc. I alwasy thought we’ve to be grateful with what we have now and cheerish whatever god gives us.
I feel that needful ppl like for eg..those who have been in a horrible accident and etc should need PS more than anyone else..

I also do not feel that it is really necessary to completely transform yourself into a different person just to get noticed or more famous. I think it will and should take much more than just looks to get popular and famous. We should be happy with what we get unless it is sooo hideous that you cannot leave the house or something then I do not feel you should get PS. It is like you are not proud of how your parents look and what they gave you. I agree should be for people that have had accidents and really need it.

plastic surgery also has to do with low self-esteem and the environment the person is raised. should we really “chastise” or “belittle” those with low self-esteem?
The issue is not that she got plastic surgery, but that after she got plastic surgery she became too obnoxious — putting out a front as if she’s the most beautiful, sexy, and irresistible woman in China. You can see her arrogance from how she poses in pictures to how she walks on red carpets.
It is true that none of us are 100% happy with what are given when it comes to looks. However, with time many of us choose to accept it because that was how we were born and what our parents have given to us. I actually am not against some minor PS if you need to enhance your looks a bit. But if you go crazy and completely change your looks to the point that you no longer look like yourself(which was what Viann did) then I really question your mentality…There is something wrong with not just your self esteem,but your insanity as well…

Alot of mainland chinese women go under the knife these days. Same with koreans but the koreans are lacking in the looks dept compare with them mainland chinese. Even my dad’s boss father(grandpas in their 70s) said K-girls look ugly after a 2week long visit to Korea with another grandpa and their families..
I do not think you should say that. Chinese may generally look better because China has a bigger population then Korea does so there is more of a variety when it comes to looks. I have seen many Chinese that look a lot worse then the average Korean. I guess we should not generalize all the time since everything varies from person to person.

Hope this news is not true as I can’t believe the golden couple aka Romeo & Juliet is done already, LOL.
The reason can’t be that Romeo refused to acknowledge her bc we all know that they are/were dating. A more likely reason might be that Juliet has no need of Romeo anymore i.e more famous than soon to be klf in TVB.
The funny thing is that Romeo’s fans want them to break up. Can’t they see how much PR Juliet has brought him in the past year?

That was really funny Exiodus! I had a good feeling that they were not going to last very long. I think it is a blessing in disguise for Ron if she asked to break up or else she may throw a Mavis Pan move just like what happened to Raymond. At least this ended more peacefully than in Raymond’s case.
This is now over so I hope they will both move on from now on. Time will heal all and I hope that they both learned something from this.

Hmm im not familiar with Joe’s wife so I can’t comment. Think someone mentioned she is well educated still doesn’t mean she is deep or intelligent.
What I do know is that she is a person that have “one eye open and one eye closed” attitude i.e she is more than happy to let her hubby eat “meals” outside as long as he knows his way back home 😀

I have a feeling that you may be right Funn. I have a feeling that Ron is fed up with her insecure personality, possessiveness and other annoying things about her. She can use money to fix her looks but nothing can change her personality. Even if she was naturally beautiful, her personality has way too many flaws. I know that Ron is not perfect either, but I have a feeling his personality is not as bad as hers.

That is not true from what I know. I have not met a single Korean women that is naturally beautiful before. Korean men I can believe can look pretty good naturally but not women. It is not to say that it is only Korean women, but many Chinese women get PS these days too. However, since Chinese have a way bigger population so there is more of a variety. Of course it varies from person to person case to case, so we are just generalizing here.

Splitting up or not, it was still up to them. No one has the power or right to do so. It is true that the media and fans did have place some pressure on them, but in the end, the power is still in their hands.
Then why need to add pressure on them along with the media? The media also based on the fans’ comments to make news if them recently. What is the ending you want to see of them? Breakup? Or ine party jump from a bridge to show they really have love? Is it your happy ending.
