Synopsis of “Romantic Repertoire”
TVB’s upcoming drama Romantic Repertoire <水髮胭脂>will premiere on March 30, replacing the timeslot currently occupied by Young Charioteers <衝線>.
The 20-episode series is produced by one of TVB’s returning producers Lee Yim Fong (李艷芳), who has most recently produced Madam Cutie On Duty <師奶MADAM>. Romantic Repertoire reunites Moses Chan (陳豪) and Joyce Koi (蓋鳴暉), who last collaborated in 2003’s Better Halves <金牌冰人>. It also stars Louise Lee (李司棋), Evergreen Mak (麥長青), Katy Kung (龔嘉欣), Jason Chan (陳智燊), and Oceane Zhu (朱璇).
Synopsis
Interior designer Moon Sing Hong (Moses Chan) and his wealthy best friend Tin Hak Kan (Evergreen Mak) decide to open a design company together. Sing Hong wants to use this rare business opportunity to earn enough money to buy an estate so he can marry his longtime girlfriend To Chi Chin (Oceane Zhu), who is still in school overseas.
However, Sing Hong’s plans go awry when his older sister Moon Sing Oi (Angelina Lo) rented his estate to popular Cantonese opera artist Kan Kit (Joyce Koi). Unable to cancel the lease, Sing Hong comes up with various ways to kick Kan Kit out, but under the watchful eyes of Kit’s tyrannical manager Lin Sau Fong (Louise Lee), he is unable to do so.
Hak Kan develops a huge crush on Kit and attempts to pursue her, but to no avail. To help his best friend, Sing Hong gets closer to Kit so he can get to know her better. Sing Hong and Kit not only forgive each other for their past offenses, they also become close friends, establishing a subtle relationship.
Things take a dramatic turn when Kit suddenly gets in a car accident and finds her birth mother. On the other hand, Sing Hong discovers Chi Chin was already back in Hong Kong, and has been cheating on him all this time. Things never go as planned in the end.

doesn’t sound interesting….
yeah…doesn’t sound that exciting to watch.
This couldn’t sound more stodgy and old fashioned if they tried…
As stated in the article, they were already paired previously. Given the complete lack of chemistry that the 2 had from that show, why do the producers insist another collaboration?
What a complete yawn fest!
“Given the complete lack of chemistry that the 2 had from that show”
I feel differently. Moses and Joyce were my favourite pair in ‘Better Halves’. I’m looking forward to their collaboration again.
They set up a design company not investment company. It’s 設計公司 not 投资公司。Please check your work!
Both the leads are boring old and not good looking. Yeah yawn fest!
wow.Love Moses Chan. Best wish for him!
Not keen to watch Moses Chan
Yawn……..
Can’t imagine Joyce Koi in romantic role. She is like she-man. Always playing male parts. Goosebumps for the men in this drama. Why is Moses even entertaining tvb by taking this terrible role? Any actress is more feminine and better than joyce. Yuck!
Ugly man paired with ugly she-man is perfect match made in heaven. No eye candy in this drama at all plus boring plot plus boring leads, will give this a wide berth.
Who said moses ugly man? He is handsome horse!
Before I have no idea about Moses, but since he criticizing Ruco ” not his level” Then he gave me a very bad impression. He is too proud of himself but the fact is he is on his down hill now. We can see, did he show in any good dramas recently? NO!!
Moses critizing ruco haha not at his level guess Kevin a humble guy co leading with ruco and his beyond Moses level
Did he? Moses has always been diplomatic so I doubt he actually said those words exactly.
Moses is so arrogant. I do not deny that he is a good actor but no way is Ruco beneath him. Pride comes before a fall, Moses. One fine day, you will be overtaken not only by Ruco but many other young and upcoming ones. Then you will have to bury your face in the mud.
You’re too kind, he’s a lousy actor and he’s already on his way down. He’s too busy making babies these days. Good riddance.
Me to and not long ago there was articles saying ruco was arrogant and then it said Kevin clear ruco name for being arrogant
look at the storylines and topics of the new hktv shows, so new and unique and refreshing
now look at tvb’s stories the past 2 years, just the same old boring stuff
I look forward to Joyce koi. She is proof that you don’t need to be some skinny young ish high pitched actress to make it in hk.
sound boring!
