7-Month Pregnant Myolie Wu Promotes Drama in Guangzhou

Even in her last trimester of pregnancy, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) has continued to work. Myolie completed a travelogue in Australia with good friends Nancy Wu(胡定欣) and Selena Li (李施嬅) recently. Today, she appeared in Guangzhou to promote her new Mainland drama, Nothing Gold Can Stay <那年花開月正圓>.

Myolie had spent over six months working on Nothing Gold Can Stay, while juggling jobs between Hong Kong and Mainland China from the end of 2016 to the spring of this year. Despite this, Myolie thoroughly enjoyed the filming experience and was thankful to have the opportunity to work with such a talented cast and crew.

Myolie said, “I personally really admire Sun Li (孫儷) and working with her made me realize how professional of an actress she was. She has a lot of big parts so she usually does 10 to 20 scenes a day. But she’s very professional – there are no outtakes and she’s always ready and prepared. I’m very happy to have been able to work with such a great actress.”

In the series, Myolie plays Hu Yong Mei, the elegant and kind-hearted daughter of a wealthy businessman who falls in love with her childhood friend, Wu Ping (Peter Ho 何潤東). Unfortunately, with the appearance of Sun Li’s character, Myolie’s relationship with Peter makes a turn for the worst.

On working with Peter, Myolie said, “Hu Yong Mei and Peter’s character, have been friends since they were young. He’s her knight in shining armor. Peter is definitely suited to play this character – he’s very cool!”
