Shu Qi Will Not Act With Stephen Fung in the Future
Attending the premiere for their new movie, The Adventurers <俠盜聯盟>, husband-wife duo Stephen Fung (馮德倫) and Shu Qi (舒淇) implied the chances of filming onscreen together in the future is very slim.
Serving as the director for The Adventurers, Stephen explained why he chose to film in Prague for the movie. Stephen said, “Filming has been done in a lot of European cities already, but there have been very few in Prague. I think the castles in Prague are mesmerizing.”
On starring in her husband’s directorial debut, Shu Qi said she did not need to consult him about the filming details. She revealed, “I didn’t need to because the screenplay itself was very good. As the finishing touch, I only needed to do well in playing my character.” Asked which scene was the most challenging, Shu Qi said, “There was a scene involving a cliff and helicopters – it was very risky so that’s why we ended up not going in the helicopter.”
As to whether or not she would consider doing a commercial with her husband in the future, Shu Qi laughed, “Of course not! Don’t need to!” Asked if they would act in a movie together, she said, “It’s best if we don’t.”
Since it was Andy Lau‘s (劉德華) first time starring in Stephen Fung’s movie, he said, “When I’m filming my own movies, I have many opinions. But this time, I listened to the director’s words.” When speaking about his action scenes opposite Jean Reno in the movie, Andy said, “Jean’s scenes were given priority so he would discuss the details with the director first.” Andy was injured on the set of The Adventures, but he insisted on continuing with the filming.
Michael Wong On Daughter’s Revealing Photos
Michael Wong (王敏德) and his wife, Janet Ma (馬詩慧), also made an appearance to support The Adventurers. When asked about their daughter Irisa Wong‘s Instagram account being full of risqué photos, both Michael and Janet came to her defense. In a recent picture of Irisa with what seemed like a wardrobe malfunction, Janet explained that it was most likely just the shadows playing tricks on the eye.
Janet added that there’s no need to consult her before posting photos, “She doesn’t need to tell me beforehand, she’s a big girl now.”
Also defending Irisa, Michael said, “I follow her as well and I’ve seen the photos. She has her own limits and I accept it – it can’t be helped!”

Was this movie before or after Andy’s accident?
Directorial debut? Stephen Fung’s directed about half a dozen films before this one!
@linvin8
Yeah. Stephen Fung has been directing movies since 2004 (or even earlier if you count the segment in the anthology ‘Heroes in Love’). This is definitely not his directorial debut. But, I do hope he will come back out to the front of the camera once in a while. I miss him onscreen.
