Roxanne Tong and Joey Law Make It Official
It’s no secret that the TVB stars are dating, but Come Home Love <愛回家> actors Joey Law (羅天宇) and Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯) never admitted to it—until Joey turned 30 on October 1, 2017.
On Sunday, Joey celebrated his 30th birthday with Roxanne and their close friends Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), Moon Lau (劉佩玥), Jacqueline Ch’ng (莊思敏), Lisa Ch’ng (莊思明), Bowie Cheung (張寶兒), and Jennifer Shum (岑杏賢). Roxanne gave Joey a birthday kiss, which was shared online, confirming their relationship.
Dating rumors having been swirling around the pair ever since the TVB stars coupled up Come Home Love. Roxanne and Joey have been caught by paparazzi on multiple occasions, but the couple never admitted to dating and avoided discussion about the topic altogether.

damn he’s 30?!?! he better pick up the pace cuz she’s already at least a lead actress (tofu war) and he’s still…the least interesting character from come home love
@rucofan1100 She might only be lead due to her being Kent Tong’s niece
@jadio
I don’t think she was given the lead role because of her being Kent Tong’s niece. If it’s because of the relationship, she could have been given lead role in lighthearted family series (such as her role in The Tofu War) when she first debuted years ago.
It’s more like TVB is giving her opportunities as a rising star to show her potentials in carrying lead roles by casting her in smaller production to start with.
Anyway, Roxanne is definitely better in acting & has potentials to grow instead of Joey Law, who is stil stuck with small/minor roles with no improvements so far. Thus, Joey does need to work extra hard to pick up the pace to avoid a huge gap (& comparison) between him and Roxanne since they are both working in the same industry.
@jadio does kent tong still have any pull though in 2017? nepotism or not i thought she did ok, still a work in progress but at least heading in the right direction
@jadio Nah…Kent doesn’t have that much pull with TVB anymore. If anything, it’s because TVB is severely lacking in talent right now so they are plucking the ones with potential (or who already have some amount of affinity/familiarity with audiences) from their current crop of up-and-comers and sticking them in lead roles. I actually think Roxanne is a good choice to groom as lead, as her performances so far have been pretty decent as far as newbies go (probably because acting runs in her family, since both her dad and her uncle were known actors back in the day). As for Joey Law…all I’m going to say is – Joey who?? He definitely needs to up his profile, otherwise he’s going to have a hard time (especially from the relentless HK media) given Roxanne is currently at a higher level than him….unfortunately, that’s how the industry (and the HK media) works…
@jadio
Kent Tong won’t have any influence on TVB. Since Barbara Yung’s death Kent has been unpopular with the public so TVB would not need him at all. Though I think in TVB’s perspective, promoting a former Miss Hong Kong participant with an acting family background would generate more noise than just another average rookie. It’s the company’s decision and its a good business decision. She has been decent so far so can’t conplain.
