Edison Chen Celebrates Daughter’s First Birthday
Edison Chen (陳冠希) has always given the impression of being a bad boy that we all hate to love, but after having his daughter with model girlfriend Shupei Qin (秦舒培) last year, the singer-cum-businessman has settled down.
On March 4, Edison and Shupei celebrated their daughter Alaia’s first birthday. The happy parents shared the milestone birthday on their social media, even sharing a picture of their adorable daughter.
According to reports, Edison was in charge of Alaia’s birthday party arrangements and decorated the house for her. It’s been a while since fans have seen Edison look this happy before!

If Edison truly changes, Don’t you think his daughter will see the positive and loving behaviour he displays towards her and others and forgive her father for his past indiscretions? There is such a word called change. There is also one called forgiveness, which Asians need to learn the meaning of. I do hope that being a father brings about a positive change in Edison, as we all are sick to our stomachs of his past shameless and reckless disgusting actions.let’s pray that he can step up to the plate and be a decent man, father and husband. I don’t understand why he needs to be forgiven because if it’s based on his photo scandal, he did nothing wrong as he wasn’t the one who released those photos. Taking and exchanging intimate photos is not something immoral or disgusting as long as it was consensual and from what I understand it was. It’s one of those things where most people do but just don’t talk about it. It’s unfortunate his private photos got released throughout the internet for everyone to see but he is certainly a victim just like the women in the photos.

@shorts you know, I laugh when the Chinese culture was quick to pounce on Edison while they worship their kings, hahaha. There are men held in royal, godlike esteem who are involved in things that are considered. I never heard of Edison being a woman beater. Using women for their money in his early career knowing he does not want them. Cheating on his controlled woman and beating her up if she tries to say anything. Sleeping with everything that has a Hole. Using the fans for years as best friends to keep making the multi millions, while making fun about them and saying mean things behind their backs. Using underhand tactics to try to push other actors out of roles to secure the part. Being involved in evil practices to continue to be a billionaire. Being involved in businesses that uses child and slave labor and they know this is happening. Being involved in practices that uses human sacrifices. I could go on all day. Edison looks like a child boy compared to the actions of some of these idols. I don’t worship celebs for many reasons. Edison’s action were exposed, that is the difference between him And them.

@duality I am one of the very few people who do will never blame Edison or the women for the photo scandal. However, he has been a very bad boy about a lot of other things. I guess you have not seen news and comments about him both in chinese and english., you would think Edison is the devil himself. In fact, to most of the Asian culture, he is. A lot of netizens keep dredging up the past and excruciating him as the worst scum there is. Time to give him a break, wish him well as a father, and hope that his daughter can bring about a positive change in Edison.
@duality Agree.. his only mistake was not being too smart in bringing his system to get fix.. and those people were unethical for releasing such photos.
@happybi Exactly. I couldn’t agree more. The computer repairman should be in jail. Edison and those women were consenting adults. Unless he found criminal activity on the computer, that repairman should not have divulged the information or photos to anyone. That was confidential material. That repairman was willing to ruin the lives of these celebs for money. I hope karma gets him.

I did hear from somewhere that the computer repairman did get charged and thrown in jail but I didn’t pay attention as to how long the sentence was.
He has been a naughty boy. Give him a chance and space to start afresh now that he is a dad.
Edison will have problem disciplining his daughter if she does any hanky-panky thing in the future. Daughter can just show him the old photos and said ‘You did too!’
