Eat Oysters to Get a Boy
Deborah Li (狄波拉) revealed that she urged ex-husband, Patrick Tse (謝賢) to eat oysters two weeks before her ovulation. The couple’s method worked and they conceived Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒).
Known for her successful baby-making advice, Deborah had advised Kelly Chen (陳慧琳), Anita Yuen (袁詠儀), and even ex-daughter-in-law Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝). Aside from keeping track of the ovulation cycle, Deborah suggested the best time for conception was in the morning before using the toilet and brushing teeth. She recommended the missionary style and for the woman to prop her butt with a pillow for 15 minutes after sex to ensure successful fertilization.
Other Struggles
Taiwanese artistes, Christine Fan (范瑋琪) and Blackie Chan’s (陳建州) twin boys were born in 2015. Christine had once published a book on her battles with in-vitro fertilization. For two months, she was was treated dozens of needles to monitor and induce ovulation. Closely monitored by her doctor, Christine finally became pregnant.
Daniel Wu (吳彥祖) and wife, model Lisa S. have a five-year-old daughter. Before becoming pregnant, Lisa admitted she had searched for many baby-making techniques. She said, “After sex, I raised my legs for 20 minutes, but even that didn’t work.”
Despite the modern technology and traditional techniques, nothing worked for singer, Jade Kwan (關心妍) for seven years after her marriage. Trying everything, Jade had to wait many years before she became pregnant with her daughter.
