Eddie Peng Strips for Shower Scene in “Hidden Man”
Eddie Peng (彭于晏) bares it all in director Jiang Wen‘s (姜文) new film, Hidden Man <邪不壓正>. A tantalizing side view of the 36-year-old actor’s nude body can be seen in his shower scene. Stripping before his 49-year-old co-star Summer Xu (許晴), Eddie admitted he was nervous about his nudity on set.
“I felt uneasy being nude in front of [Summer] since it’s our first movie together. Honestly, I wasn’t really able to let go,” Eddie said. To feel less nervous on set, Eddie and Summer drank red wine and whiskey under Jiang Wen’s recommendation.
Eddie definitely reveals the most skin to-date in Hidden Man. In a rooftop scene, he shows his bare behind while only wearing a cap. He also has a bed scene with Summer where he went completely nude. Eddie wanted to film the scene with his shorts on, but Jiang Wen insisted that he take it all off for realism. Although it took him some time to overcome his initial shyness, Eddie admitted, “I felt more free. It felt more realistic.”

OMG many hot dudes showing off the physique lately. Well if ladies can show off their curves so can hot men.
Eddie Peng really does not need to show off his body for any movie or drama at all for viewers. He already has a nice physique and cute/handsome face. These nudity and sex scenes are pointless.
@peachyogurt
actresses have always been exploited for their figures. now it’s the guys’ turn.
he looks a lot smaller than before, he looked a lot better in bloatmax mode, but i guess asians don’t like them that big
@terrycrews19 Director Jiang Wen asked Eddie to lose weight for “Hidden Man” since he preferred him with leaner muscles, instead of previous bulk.
@peachyogurt I felt Eddie was also exploited in all the marketing for “Hidden Man”. Very little press coverage on the actual content of the film, but lots of interviews on his nude scenes. As Eddie revealed in an earlier interview, he wasn’t prepared to go fully nude, but the director requested him to do so. Perhaps Eddie doesn’t have the “clout” to say no to such scenes without risk of losing this movie.
I’m sure a lot of actors feel pressured on set to reveal more than they were initially willing.
@jayne
I’m disappointed that he agreed to do this. It’s not that he needs to do it. I hope he wasn’t force into doing it. The reason I like our Chinese’s movies/dramas more in general because they are not so wild like the westerners. We don’t need rated R movies/dramas.
Holly cow!! What was he thinking? Extra money for sure?
