Phoebe Sin Shares More Wedding Photos; Designer Info for Bride’s Dresses
Yesterday, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) announced that he will be wedding girlfriend, Phoebe Sin (單文柔), in October. With congratulations pouring in from everywhere, Phoebe spoke with The Scoop <東張西望> today about Ruco’s proposal.
It was not a coincidence that Ruco chose to announce his wedding plans at this time. September 11 marks the two-year anniversary of the couple’s first meeting. Phoebe had participated in Miss Hong Kong 2016 that night, and Ruco was one of the pageant’s judges. Although Phoebe was not placed, Ruco publicly said he had a very good impression of her.
Phoebe’s Two Wedding Gowns
With only one more month before their big day, Ruco and Phoebe excitedly shared more wedding photos on their social media accounts today. Ruco captioned his photos, “It’s her, and can only be her.”
Wearing two different dresses in her wedding shoot, Phoebe preferred dresses with fluid shapes that were sheer and sexy. Phoebe’s beaded wedding dress is from designer Inbal Dror, who also dressed Gaile Lok (樂基兒) and Sarah Song (宋熙年) for their weddings. The second wedding dress that Phoebe wore in her wedding photos, which feature a plunging neckline and ties at the shoulders are from designer, Berta, who also dressed Tavia Yeung (楊怡) on her wedding day.
Ruco’s Proposal
“Ruco has plans for everything. He is a very traditional person. When he proposed, I realized that he already thought about marriage for a very long time. He felt he had to keep his promise and responsibility, so he didn’t say it out loud. But Ruco was confident that I would say ‘Yes’ when he proposed,” Phoebe said.
The first time Ruco asked Phoebe to marry her at home, she said, “No”. Although her heart was melting, Phoebe wanted Ruco to be more romantic in his proposal. She had seen his proposal scenes in his dramas before and wanted Ruco’s gesture to be more grand. When the couple traveled to London last month, Ruco knelt down and proposed to Phoebe again. She finally said, “Yes”.
The couple will hold a small wedding celebration in Hong Kong in October.

Phoebe looks very pretty in both her wedding gowns. I like the beaded dress from Inbal Dror more, as the beads look magical when catching the sunlight.
Wish Ruco wore a black tuxedo instead. I think black and white looks more striking together instead of his blue suit.
Phoebe looks fresh and at ease before the camera, while Ruco looks more rigid.
@jayne ruco seems very serious even though it’s a happy event. he really needs to loosen up a little. Phoebe is young and sweet.
There is no need for Phoebe to be winner in Miss HK. She already hit jackpot by just participating and captured Ruco’s heart. This is even better than winning Miss HK. She is one lucky lady.

i don’t like any of Rucco suits and sockless style … it might look good for other occassion … but these are wedding photo shoots, at least dress the part … pants that fit and wear socks, and no no to sneakers with a suit

Love both of Phoebe’s choice for her gowns. Both gowns photographed really well and the photos are beautiful. I think I especially like the Berta gown on her. Congrats to Ruco and Phoebe! He finally found his happiness.
I like the beading on the first gown and the pretty shoulder ties on the second. Gorgeous!
Phoebe’s normal style feels like an 80’s or 90’s throwback. I don’t think it is the best and her styling of Ruco could definitely be improved. He seems to be attracted to quirky clothing even before her, so I don’t think his misses can be blamed on her entirely.
He is so much more dynamic in motion and has always seem stiff in photos.
He looks best in simple jeans and t-shirts for casual and tailored suits for formal.
Hope they continue to dress more like these styles in the engagement photos.

But I am finding them bland as a couple. Ruco however isn’t looking to be power couple so bland is fine. As for repeated statements that he is traditional etc, I kinda read he first proposed when they were in bed? Ahhh not very traditional! I suppose traditional these days mean marriage then children. No I don’t think shes pregnant. Sorry but I don’t feel for her. I do feel his career is winding down as his love life is up. Tvb still not know how to use him. He doesn’t know how to handle extreme publicity. I was turned off with how he handled his romance. But he’s happy. Just 2 years? Hes ready to settle down and be a father. Meanwhile I hope he renegotiates his contract with tvb.

Ruco’s career was very quiet this year. Just as he was rising to prominence in TVB, the company is hitting a ratings wall. As TVB is focusing on the Mainland Chinese market, it’s trying to get bigger stars to headline the series that are backed with Mainland partners.
It’s such a shame that timing got in the way to prevent Ruco’s career from growing bigger.

He initially said Phoebe was only a friend who acted as his stylist because he was afraid of what exposure of the romance would mean. It is understandable given the circumstances, but fortunately he didn’t try to hide his romance for too long.

Ruco had a lot of missed opportunities with his exes married with children now. Perhaps his decision to get married now also shows that he’s accepted his career is winding down and that family is most important in the end. He didn’t want Phoebe to wait for him, like how his other exes waited, and eventually they broke up.
