Roger Kwok: “Niki Chow is More Fake Than Me!”

At a promotional event for TVB drama Another Era <再創世紀>, Roger Kwok (郭晉安)  gave co-star Niki Chow (周勵淇) the ultimate compliment: “She is more fake than me!”

In Another Era, Roger portrays the ever-smiling villain, who is, as the show progresses, gradually challenged by Niki’s character, while putting up a fake exterior to hide her motives. The 39-year-old actress admitted that playing a villianess is addictive, and that she hopes to get the opportunity to be the “female version of Roger”, next time round.

Happy Birthday to Roger

Roger, whose 54th birthday is on October 9, also received a cake at the promotional event. He revealed that while his two children would draw him birthday cards, his wife, Cindy Au (歐倩怡) would make him a birthday cake to celebrate. As Cindy is quite health-conscious, the cake would be sugar-free and strange tasting, but nevertheless Roger would still finish it all. He also joked that his dream one day is to receive not a birthday card, but a mobile phone from his children for his birthday when they are older.

Benjamin Yuen Having an Unlucky Year?

Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), who also attended the same event, was recently hospitalized due to poor health over this past year. In particular, he had vomited so much that it caused the blood vessel in his eye to burst, and also injured his finger while filming The Defected <鐵探>.

Despite this, Benjamin still makes sure he spends time with his family and girlfriend Bowie Cheung (張寶兒), and plans to go on a holiday to Tokyo with them. When asked what he would do if his girlfriend and mother wanted to go to different places, he replied, “They can work it out themselves. I’ll find a place to wait for them”.
