Myolie Wu’s 39th Birthday Wish Is to Have Another Baby

In the blink of an eye, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) is already entering the last year of her 30s today. To celebrate Myolie turning 39, her husband Philip Lee (李乘德) threw her a birthday party last night and invited her closest friends to the joyous occasion.

The birthday girl was very happy surrounded by members of the Nonsense Club (胡說八道會), including Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Selena Lee (李施嬅), and Paisley Wu (胡蓓蔚), as well as Triumph in the Skies 2 <衝上雲霄II> cast mates turned good friends Adrian Chau (周志文), Yeung Chiu-hoi (楊潮凱), and Kelly Fu (傅嘉莉). Myolie shared a lot of photos on social media and gushed about the party.

“Never been older, but never been happier,” she wrote on her Instagram post. “Just a simple gathering with some friends is perfect for this year. Thank you for all your wonderful wishes, I’m so grateful.”

Although the mother of one didn’t want to celebrate at first, her husband convinced her otherwise. “It’s my last [30s], so my husband said I should celebrate it,” Myolie shared. “As I get older, I think [going out to celebrate] doesn’t matter as much. The most important thing is that the whole family is together, happy, and healthy and if I have friends by my side. I don’t need to have a big celebration.”

Myolie also added it’s a rare occasion for the Nonsense Club girls to all be free at the same time. The members along with the other guests celebrated Myolie’s birthday with three cakes and even had an 18-birthday candle inserted into one of them, wishing her forever youth and beauty. Philip also wished her a happy birthday with a dedication post on his own Instagram. He wrote, “Happy birthday my rock, my life, my queen.”

When asked about birthday presents, the actress revealed she doesn’t care for materialistic items but has a few birthday wishes instead. “Being healthy is the most important because you’re getting older,” Myolie said. “And I wish to be able to eat as much as I want without getting fat because I really like eating, but I have to put effort into keeping fit.”

She also hopes to have one more child as soon as possible. The actress just celebrated her son Brendan Lee’s (李奕霆) birthday last month. “We will continue to work hard, and hopefully we can give you guys good news,” Myolie expressed.
