Faye Wong’s 12-Year-Old Daughter Gets Second Cleft Lip Surgery
Faye Wong (王菲), has two daughters, one from each of her two unsuccessful marriages. When married to singer Dou Wei (竇唯), the couple welcomed their daughter, Leah Dou (竇靖童), who is currently 22 years old and a singer in her own right. After divorcing Dou Wei in 1999, Faye married actor, Li Yapeng (李亞鵬), in 2005. Their daughter, Li Yan (李嫣), was born in 2006 with a congenital cleft lip.
Li Yan underwent her first corrective surgery when she was only five months old. In August 2018, Li Yan traveled to the United States to undergo another corrective procedure. After recovering for several months, reporters spotted the 12-year-old girl out shopping with her mother. From the photos, Li Yan’s lip healed very well and there was no sign of scarring.
Although Li Yan’s facial features strongly resembles her father, her body structure and personality is much more like her mother. With successful parents, Li Yan is unsurprisingly showered with a luxury life and made headlines late last year for her extravagant spending. Li Yan and her two friends, one of them identified to be Wang Feng’s (汪峰) daughter with his ex-wife, posted photos of themselves shopping at Dior and Chanel. Aside from her lavish lifestyle, Li Yan is also an aspiring model. Taking after her mother’s tall, slender physique, Li Yan made her runway debut at the young age of 11 at the Paris Fashion Week in 2017. At 12 years old, Li Yan graced the covers of China’s Instyle magazine.
Faye and Li Yapeng, though divorced, continue to run the “Smile Angel Foundation” charity that they founded in 2006 to help children born with cleft lips.

@msxie0714 I wonder if she spoils her daughter because she felt guilty about her cleft lip. Of course, it isn’t Faye’s fault that she is born with a cleft lip, but it wouldn’t be surprising if she is over-compensating this way.
I am trying to cut down my consumerism and Marie Kondo my home. Hopefully, these young girls will learn these lessons way before they get to my age.
