Christine Kuo Wants Kids, But Her Husband Isn’t Ready Yet
Married for four months, Christine Kuo (苟芸慧) said she eventually wants to have four children. She loves children and is ready to have a baby any time. Seeing friends such as Leanne Li (李亞男) and Eliza Sam (岑麗香) embrace motherhood also made Christine more eager too. However, her husband, 45-year-old wealthy heir William Lok (陸漢洋), is still not ready to be a father.
Why William is Not Ready
The 35-year-old actress shares that William is still hesitant in becoming a father because he was a difficult child. He is scared his future child would be like him and become society’s burden.
Christine revealed, “Everyone who knows William knew that he previously didn’t like to marry or have children. But he has already improved (by committing to our marriage), so everything really needs to depend on timing. Right now, I hope to take a positive direction and go step by step from there.”

Despite sharing different opinions on children, Christine is undeterred and is positive her persistent display of love for children and persuasion methods will eventually change her husband’s mind. One of her methods in boosting his confidence to become a father is to sponsor children together. Half a year ago, the couple started sponsoring two boys and two girls from Cambodia and Sri Lanka. Their sponsored children would write to them regularly about their lives and their dreams, and Christine said she would often tell William about it. Initially, he ignored her, but he slowly paid attention and she hopes that he’ll keep this a habit and work on preparing himself to be a father.
To allow William to regularly interact with children, Christine also often arranges her nephew to visit their home. She laughed that in the beginning, her husband would ignore her nephew as if he were invisible. “My nephew is very well-behaved, and he doesn’t make loud noises. But William would just keep walking around the house and ask me when I’ll take my nephew home. It took him a while, but he’s now used to having a child’s presence in the house. They also interact a lot more, so it’s a really big improvement.”

Maybe she really loves the man and want to spend the rest of her life with him.
I know we will only get the full picture when we get the POV of her husband. But, from this article alone, I think she’s doing good for her husband. He has some bad experience in the past that lead to his reluctance to have children. It’s not that he does not like children, he’s just afraid the kid will not turn out right. What Christine does is help him overcome and let go of this fear. If she succeed it will be very freeing for her husband.
@mike most important thing is get him to sign on dotted line first. he is a rich guy. if he is not keen to have kids, forcing him to be a father is just going to strain the marital relationship.

She needs to prepare for disappointment. If a man is in his mid 40s and still dont want kids, they are unlikely to change their minds.
