Wang Baoqiang and Ex-Wife Fight Over Division of Assets

Mainland star Wang Baoqiang (王寶強) and his ex-wife Ma Rong (馬蓉) have finalized their divorce in 2018 after seven years of marriage. This was after Wang Baoqiang disclosed that his wife and his agent Song Jie (宋喆) were having an affair in 2016. The former couple have been in a bitter war over the division of their assets since the divorce.

It is rumored that mediation is complete and the freeze on their assets has been lifted. The freeze started in 2018 and was set to last for a duration of three years till 2021. Their assets include a shared investment company valued at approximately 1.2 million RMB.

Ma Rong is also reportedly accusing Wang Baoqiang along with four to five people of physical assault that occurred when she and her mother went to Wang’s house to pick up their children. However, according to an insider, Ma Rong, attempted to remove CCTV cameras around the house and in the process dropped a pair of scissors that she had been hiding. Ma Rong denied this, but the CCTV footage proved otherwise. Wang Baoqiang has also denied claims of assault.
