“Integrity” Soars to Top of Hong Kong Box Office

Director Alan Mak’s (麥兆輝) Integrity <廉政風雲 煙幕> open to great results on Lunar New Year, passing the $10 million HKD mark in three days. The film has an incredible cast, featuring Best Actors Sean Lau (劉青雲) and Nick Cheung (張家輝), and Best Actresses Karena Lam (林嘉欣) and Anita Yuen (袁詠儀).

Director Alan Mak is very happy with the movie’s results and shared, “I really want to thank viewers for their support, as well as the team in charge of marketing. I hope that we will continue to receive good results and break the ticket sales record!”

Sean wants to take this opportunity to go on a date with his wife, Amy Kwok (郭藹明), and watch the movie together. He responded happily, “I’m very happy that Integrity is doing well. I’m thankful for everyone who is supporting us, and also want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a healthy and prosperous New Year.”

Nick believes Integrity’s success comes from the amazing teamwork behind the film. He said, “The movie is doing well. I for sure need to take the director and boss to dinner sometime!”

The success of the film surpassed Karena’s expectations. She shared, “Though I have been busy with the New Year traditions and taking care of my kids, I have been paying close attention to the results and viewers’ comments. I hope that the movie will continue to be successful and that there is more to follow!”

Anita hasn’t worked with Sean for over 26 years and was especially happy that the opportunity has come again. She responded, “I only make a guest appearance in the film, so I don’t feel I have the right to take the recognition. But I’m happy to know that the movie is doing so well. I hope that the Hong Kong film industry can continue in this direction and discover more themes and stories to film. I believe Hong Kong viewers deserve good production!”
