Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott Cancel Engagement Following Split
Stalker castmates turned lovers 39-year-old Maggie Q and 57-year-old Dylan McDermott have called it quits after four years. The two became romantically involved after portraying on-screen lovers in the TV show, and the relationship was revealed in the fall of 2014 when they were spotted getting cozy in public. Following the exposure, they announced their engagement in January 2015. However, they never decided on a wedding date, and now their engagement is canceled.
In March 2015, Maggie said they were both busy with work to plan the wedding and added “because you gotta balance everything.” Despite never acting on their engagement, the duo often commented on each other’s Instagrams and made public apperances together. The last photo Maggie uploaded of themselves was towards the end of last year when they made a couple appearance at the Wild Aid event. Dylan also admitted he’s head over heels for Maggie. He said, “The cool thing is if you trust life and open yourself up to good things, good things can happen. [Maggie] took my breath away.”
Although both parties have yet to confirm the split, the lack of couple photos on their social media might shed some light on the situation. Maggie recently uploaded a photo of her dog passing away and Dylan commented, “He was the best dog ever!” On the other hand, Dylan has been frequently uploading photos of him and his 22-year-old daughter, Colette, his first born with his former wife, Shiva Rose. They were married from 1995 to 2009 and share another daughter, 13-year-old Charlotte.

Lucky for him he didn’t marry her. He has 2 daughters from a previous marriage, why split his wealth, save it for your own blood. She isn’t that famous like people think. I had seen other photos of her with cigarettes in her hands. Her face looks dry without makeup. In the photo above, you could tell she covered her face with tons of makeup. She is definitely not a keeper. not the type of girl to bring home to meet mama.
Here is an article about her being with so many different guys. even had rumors that she had an affairs with daniel wu. She did not deny or agree to it according to the article. She has been pass around many times from one guy to the next. Guess she is the type that will do anything to get her GOLD. Wonder who will be her next target. Hope the next guy will be as smart as this guy.

nothing scandalous relatively speaking. she dated daniel wu when both were single. in one interview she said she’d rather be poor than be with a rich creep. no need for you to demonize her.
@msxie0714 She dated Brett Ratner for 2 years, he is an American director and producer. The guy is another Harvey Weinstein with sexual misconduct allegations against him by many hollywood actresses. In my opinion, I think she dated him in order to move up as an actress in hollywood. Yet she isn’t that famous in hollywood, she is nothing to brag about. Only watched one of her movies like more than 10 yrs ago and her acting sucks. Among friends and coworkers, she is the asian version of paris hilton. I bet you she is probably well known in hollywood as the type of girl guys just want to have fun but definitely not the type for marriage. I have a feeling she will end up like kenny bee’s ex wife Teresa Cheung as she gets older. She is 39 now, but looks much older without makeup. Smokers age faster and have more health issues as they get older.

1) A friend here back then was her casting agent to bridge her entry into Hollywood. She was one of those he represented.
2) With Maggie Q, party flirting and whatever else transpiared at a party = Korea’s Lee Byung-hun was at = it lead shortly after to his break up with Song Hae-gyo (smart, wise and independent girl – she dodged a bullet! with LBH. imo, she’s way better off with Song Joong-ki).
I knew it won’t last long but because Dylan is known to jump from woman to woman, non of his relationship last long. I love them in stalkers, and they have great chemistry however Dylan isn’t the type to stay with 1 woman.
For her, I don’t think partying and smoking warrant her a bad girl image. From the interview, she’s pretty grounded. She’s however looking for a guy to settle down in the last interview I saw of her, and I knew Dylan isn’t it.
Maggie Q gave up Asian Entertainment the moment she set up tent in Hollywood. I don’t know why her news is still newsworthy at this point.
@coralie it seems people hate on her for ditching Asian entertainment industry lol, but could you blame her? She can’t speak chinese, her native tongue is English (I doubt she can speak Vietnamese), plus working in Hollywood allow her to be closed to her family and work in the environment she knew. Instead of working with equally dodgy Asian men without any real legal system to protect the women. She’s newsworthy maybe because she used to be well known enough in hk, and the only one “from” hk that is getting noticeable job in Hollywood. She’s still a lead for 2 series, second lead for a third. And since she’s not that old, potentially she can be in other series as lead or co-lead.
@littlefish i don’t hate her, just don’t find her relevant to asian ebiz anymore. lots of foreign-born/raised asians can’t speak their ethnic tongue when they start working in Asia, but they all eventually learn. maggie hasn’t learned much at all nor really tried. i can’t say she really cared about asian ebiz. likewise, noone cares about her lol. i can’t speak for anyone but myself, and i never watched any of her american shows because i just don’t find her relevant, either in hollywood or asia. & since JS is a mostly asian ebiz news site, that’s why i asked why she’s even on here.
i think she was in an assassin series a while back but haven’t heard from her. she pretty much gave up asian entertainment the moment she starred in that movie w/ tom cruise. never really understood the hype about this girl when she was in her late 20s. she aged pretty quickly. her and the other girl rosemary too.
didn’t know she was dating dylan, he was quite handsome in his late forties but of course aging has taken a toll on his looks now but not back for an almost 60yo man.
i like her and do still watch some her US show. Wish her all the best!
