Oscar Leung to Hold Wedding Celebration Dinner at Cafe?
TVB artist, Oscar Leung (梁烈唯) accepted a radio interview with Eileen Cha (查小欣) yesterday. Prior to joining TVB, Oscar’s financial situation was not very good. After joining the company, Oscar was able to dine at outside cafes and pay for meals; thus, he felt very fortunate. When he did not have to film dramas, Oscar worked part-time at his cousin’s restaurant, which allowed him to eat for free there.
Oscar was grateful that his girlfriend of 9 years has stood by his side, working hard together. If he were to get married, Oscar joked that the wedding celebration dinner will be held at his cousin’s cafe.
Touring real estate properties recently, Oscar fell in love with a $10 million HKD apartment. Although TVB more than doubled his salary, but he did not have enough money to purchase the condo.

Jayne: It’s great that Oscar is enjoying newfound recognition and popularity due to “L’Escargot.” His character and Mandy Wong’s character seem to be the most widely reported by the media.
As long as Oscar and his girlfriend are happy, celebrating anywhere is fine. Of course he’s not gonna feel “embarrassed” by it.
If only this series was aired last year, he would get recognition earlier… but it’s still okay now. So happy for him!
Oscar & Mandy did a great job in L’Escargot, both were very convincing to be the annoying/hated character in the drama. I hope TVB will recognize their talents and give them more opportunities instead of promoting people that only looks good but can’t act at all.

I really like Oscar. He has a lot of potential. I hope that him and Mandy get a lot of promotional opportunities together so that he can save up more money to get a place.

The audience’s eyes are “crystal clear” so to speak. There are different types of actors: idol material that succeed through good looks (ensuring perhaps earlier success, but longevity may be an issue of they do not improve) and good actors that are carved from experience in both life and performance wise.
Hearing the good buzz about Mandy and Oscar, I would like to watch their performance together too.
Oscar and Mandy seem to fall along the lines of actors such as Kenneth Ma. Although the audience recognize their talents, they are not in high demand at promotional events, thus you wonder about their commercial value?
I think that a big celebration is just for show… As long as you are able to be with the one that you love and have a happy life together, then that is much more important than having a big celebration. You can have a big celebration and spend lots of money, but have a sad marriage…. Having a big and expensive wedding does not guarantee happiness…Wish him and his girlfriend the best! It is great that he seems to get along well with his cousin too. Family are always there for each other.
I’ve always liked Oscar. He is a great actor, and has great screen presence. Additionally, he is never ‘annoying’. It’s amazing how grounded he is and also, I love the bond that he and his girlfriend shared. It’s always admirable when couples stay together for so long and are at a stage when they can move forward together.
He’s sooooooo cute, even when he’s bald. Im gonna watch this series – for him and for michael miu.
Congrats to him. He’s very genuine. Marrying the gf of nine years. Two thumbs up for this man. He is considered a man. Once people get into the entertainment circle they will dumped their ten year relationship and marry a rich person.
He def gain my respect.
