Power Chan Undergoes Angioplasty

Former TVB actress, Mimi Lo (羅敏莊), is currently a radio DJ hosting the program, Made in Hong Kong. While on air recently, Mimi shared that her husband, Power Chan (陳國邦), underwent angioplasty. The procedure went well, and Mimi took the opportunity to urge her listeners not to overlook their health.

Mimi half-heartedly joked, “He is getting older, so his body needs to be fixed and repaired! He had heart problems and needed an angioplasty. He has already returned home to rest and recover. I posted a photo on social media that will hopefully help ease everyone’s worries about my husband.” The photo, it turns out, was a photo of Power sitting up in a hospital bed.

Reflecting on the days and months leading up to the need for surgery, Mimi reprimanded Power on the live radio show. When Power knew that there were issues with his health, he insisted that he did not need surgery. Instead, he thought that taking medicine, exercising, and eating a clean diet will correct his heart issues. Mimi stressed, “If and when you find out you are sick, you need to face the issue head-on. Don’t avoid it.”

Although publicly chastising her husband, Mimi did so out of love and concern for Power. The couple met in 2002 while filming Lofty Waters Verdant Bow <雲海玉弓緣>. Mimi admitted to being the pursuer, taking the initiative to invite Power out for milk tea. Although Power had a girlfriend at the time, he had a change of heart when Mimi pursued him. After dating for seven years, the couple tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their daughter in 2012.
