Felix Lok’s Career Has Gone “Quiet” After His Surgery
Felix Lok (駱應鈞), who has been in the industry for 46 years, is one of Hong Kong’s most well-known and respected “green leaf” actors. With over 100 TV dramas and films under his belt, Felix is perhaps best known for his performance in 1994’s Legend of the Condor Heroes <射鵰英雄傳> and the File of Justice <壹號皇庭> series, which were his representative works.
After serving TVB for over 30 years, Felix left the station in 2011 to sign with HKTV 2012. He has appeared in HKTV dramas The Election <選戰>, Incredible Mama <我阿媽係黑玫瑰>, and The Menu <導火新聞線>, but left the station soon after HKTV failed to obtain a broadcasting license.
Felix’s transition to film was successful, and he had many opportunities to work with his old TVB costars through films such as Overheard 3 <竊聽風雲3>, Z Storm <Z風暴>, and Cold War II <寒戰II>, but after undergoing a period of surgery and hospitalization, Felix realized that many job offers were starting to slip from his grasp.
Felix shared in an interview that he had just went through his life’s first surgical procedure—kidney stone surgery. “I had no choice but to undergo surgery because of how big the stones were,” said Felix. “The surgery was separated into two parts, and the entire procedure lasted over 40 days. After the first surgery, I rested a few days at the hospital. Seven days later I had my second.” One month after the second procedure, Felix returned to the hospital to remove the needle in his body.
It was difficult for Felix to find jobs after his long absence. “I had to turn down a few jobs at the time because I was physically incapable to do them. I also didn’t bother to tell them why. Now it’s become very quiet, but that’s fine. I just completed a surgery so it would be great to use this time to rest.”

I doubt Felix will be ‘quiet’ for long. As long as they continue to produce HK movies and that Felix remains healthy and not get involved with politics. He will get work.
@anon Yup, agreed! Acting talent like him is hard to come by nowadays, so as long as he stays away from politics (which won’t be hard for him, since he’s the low-key type anyway who barely does interviews and such even when he’s got a series / movie out), he will most definitely get work.
Good luck to Felix and hope he makes a full recovery!

Felix looks very slow in his interview which is expected after such a torrid operation process. Better for him to recover slowly first rather rushing into finding work…
