Jacqueline Wong May Get Erased in “Forensic Heroes IV”
The Hong Kong entertainment industry is suffering a great deal from the repercussions of the “Sum On Cheating Scandal,” specifically TVB.
The main characters of the scandal, Andy Hui (許志安) and Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎), have already halted all work and were benched by their respective agencies. Andy canceled his upcoming September concert, while Jacqueline was dropped by most of her endorsers. Her upcoming drama The Offliners <堅離地愛堅離地>, which was slated to pick up the time slot after The Defected <鐵探>, is now officially pulled from broadcast. Plans to air her other upcoming dramas—Finding Her Voice <牛下女高音> and Maid Alliance <丫鬟大聯盟>—have also been postponed. Owen Cheung (張振朗), Jacqueline’s co-lead in The Offliners and Finding Her Voice, was reportedly “extremely furious” about the postponements.
And that isn’t all. TVB’s grand production Forensic Heroes IV <法證先鋒IV>, starring Raymond Wong (黃浩然) is also affected. Reportedly, TVB is under discussions to erase Jacqueline and have her scenes reshot. Although Jacqueline is not a main lead on the show, her role is a pivotal character, and is heavily involved in Raymond Wong’s story arc.
As Forensic Heroes IV has already completed filming and is now in post-production, many artistes weren’t pleased to hear that they may have to reshoot the series. According to a source close to Raymond Wong, he is extremely furious and upset about the possibility of having to reshoot, expressing that the incident has “wasted everyone’s efforts and time.”
Raymond, who is currently overseas, has not responded to the source’s claims. TVB did not officially confirm the reshoots, but Forensic Heroes producer Mui Siu-ching (梅小青) did say that it could be a possibility. At the moment, TVB does not have plans to postpone Forensic Heroes IV’s broadcast timeslot, which is slated for Fall 2019.
In terms of variety projects, Jacqueline’s variety show with Lai Lok-yi (黎諾懿) lost an endorser after the scandal broke out. TVB has plans to replace Jacqueline with Mat Yeung (楊明).

Reshooting scenes of one of the lead actresses will just make the series a mess. I’ll be surprised it the scenes will connect at all after reshooting. The cost as well unless TVB expects all the main artistes to reshoot for free. The extras will surely need further pay.As for Owen Cheung, his hopes for breaking out big time in the next couple of years have vanished. He will have to get back to shooting new series(hopefully TVB will give him more chances to lead). Even if his series with Jacqueline will eventually be released, there will be no chance he will gain any recognition. That’s a good few years wasted for him. Thanks Jacques! Keep stinking the place out and creating a trail of victims…
Every time I see her face it reminds me of the scandal. Hope she won’t appear ever.. go hide forever…
Heard that Raymond was mad. I hope I never see JW on screen ever again. Feel especially sorry for Owen, wasn’t this suppose to be his breakthrough year.. sigh
It would be ironic if she played an adultress/3 rd party in Raymond’s storyline. Surprised she hasn’t been outright fired.
Felt sorry for the cast that will need to re-shoot the series.
But it’s better to erase JW from the scene to teach her a lesson and any artist a lesson that commit any issues.

Ive not heard TVB ever reshoot scenes with a different actor/actress. Can they even afford to lol.

I’m upset that ‘Finding Her Voice’ is one of the series postponed. Been looking forward to it. Lots of veteran singers will be singing in the series. 🙁

Most artistes excitedly wait for that time when their series comes to air on TV so they can gain exposure and use that airing period to attend invitations from sponsors/shows to earn extra income. All hope that their series will become hits and turn them into household names.However, many artistes and crews hard work are now wasted because their series won’t air in the near future and even if they do, they are guaranteed to flop.Jacqueline has taken a lot of victims down along with her. There are a lot of very angry people out there….
the others are actually getting punished for her wrongdoing. i don’t think it’s unnecessary. they can still broadcst the shows but don’t ask her to show for promotion and delete a few filler scenes. i wonder if the same thing happens in the west, would they have done the same thing? this really shows how tvb overuses the same actor in every single show.

Yeh. Agree it’s ridiculous having such a mediocre actress with 3-4 series yet to air. Literally have 3-4 actors and 3-4 actresses and rotate them for each series. Owen Cheung unlucky that he acted opposite Jacqueline twice in TVB’s push for him to become the next big lstar. However all is not lost though he’s taken a massive hit.He still has 2 other series to air without Jacques. Airport security unit and justice pao(3rd lead).

The thing is with series that has cases to be solved there will be plenty of bits of scenes where it will be needed with her character in for the scenes to connect. The cast will take a huge morale hit having to get into character again to redo the scenes….

Forensic Heroes IV it is suppose to be a big budgeted series with sponsors lined up… Either postpone it or warehouse it. There isn’t much options.
@ricky721 Good riddance to Forensic Heroes IV, though. The sequels just never end. They need to stop airing these TV shows and come up with something original.
@coralie It’s not the same.. the cast mentally and morally will not be the same if they re-shoot it. It’s a waste of money and time… If they air it they will need to cut out some of the scenes… and see if it even makes sense… Cut the cost while it’s low… There’s a ton of Sponsorships behind all this… They also have reallocate all of that too. They need to stop the hyping the whole Forensic Heroes series and let it die down… Because, I think in some of the news, they say they are still September airing….I don’t see the whole JW thing dying down anytime soon… HK people are busy but, there’s something new surfacing up everyday since. Warehouse Josephine and whole series altogether to cut the cost.
@ricky721 That’s my point; don’t even reshoot. Just warehouse it entirely. I don’t anticipate it being worth the time anyways, since it’s pretty much a rehash of previous sequels and a chain of bad follow-ups. No one’s missing out, really.

But there are already 2-3 series that Jacqueline leads that will get warehouses anyway. Forensic Heroes is probably the one she is least involved so they will try and find a solution. For Virginia Lok to say TVB have not lost anything from this scandal is hilarious…
I wouldnt miss it if it was warehoused Forensics isnt the same W/O the original cast of Bobby Frankie and Yoyo so far Its good that they froze Jaqueline i really dont find her acting good in any way and her singing pppppffff pathetic
I feel horrible for all the other actors and actresses who worked their butt off and potentially lost out on future endorsements or opportunities because of her. Mostly feeling sorry for Owen who was likely actually pretty good friends with her but is now unsure if his dramas will ever be aired.
Imagine working so hard for so many years and finally getting your big break but having the hard work go to waste because your “friend” pulled some stupid crap like this…….

The question should be why was she “leading” in so many series at the same time? She’s not even a good actress! Her face looks so irritating … sucks to be TVB right now! Haha hope they’ve learnt their lesson in choosing who to lead next time
jacqueline really is causing so much inconvenience and trouble for more and more people. her family, friends, colleagues and company. personally, i was really looking forward to ‘the offliners’, ‘finding her voice’ and ‘forensic heroes iv’ and it angers me that jac has caused these dramas to be prohibited from airing (for a while at least). she is wasting not only other artistes work, but also those that work behind the camera. it takes 3-6 months to film dramas normally and now its all going to be wasted even if it does air ; people don’t want to see jac’s face (i wouldn’t mind, but i’d rather not).
as for her getting erased in forensic heroes i think its going to cost a lot of money and cause more attention and news for jac and the actress that replaces her. its really unfair to all the other artistes to refilm jac’s role again, especially since forensic iv is such a big budgeted drama. but if they do replace jac i will feel just a tiny bit sorry for her, as much as i dislike her for her scandal, the role she filmed is still her hard work. i guess people could say its a punishment but i find it a bit too harsh. i think just cutting short jac’s screen time and her not going to drama promotions would be more suitable. if they want to replace her, might as well just end her contract altogether.
@emiliachan I think the problem is that Jacqueline is third female lead in the series and she has a significant storyline with Raymond Wong’s character (from what I read, yes their relationship is a love triangle thing — it’s another one of those “the guy is torn between 2 women” story arcs — though whether Jacqueline plays the third party or not, I’m not sure but it didn’t sound like it based on some of the stuff I had read about the plot). But this is why Raymond was supposedly so pissed off when he got wind that they might need to reshoot, since he is the one most affected.
Like I said last time, I think ultimately whether TVB needs to reshoot the scenes or not depends on when they plan to air the series. If they aren’t willing to warehouse it and instead want to air it this year, then they have no choice but to cut Jacqueline out and reshoot. Otherwise, if they want to keep
everything intact, then warehouse it for a couple years and see what happens.
Feel sorry for her co-workers. Hope this JW can disappear from entertainment forever.
