Cecilia Cheung is a Compulsive Liar?
In recent years, Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) has appeared in many Mainland Chinese variety shows. She has been on nearly every popular show and was recently invited onto Day Day Up <天天向上> to share her nutritional views. But things quickly became awkward when Cecilia’s inconsistent responses made her look like a liar.
In the episode, there was a segment where they talked about Southern Chinese cuisine. As Hong Kong’s representative, Cecilia was deferred to for her expertise. She exclaimed that she can cook many dishes very well, “I’ve loved cooking since I was young. Since I gave birth, I have cooked all of my son’s meals. My eldest son likes eating Chinese cuisine and my second one likes western food.”
Host, Wowkie Zhang (大張偉) then asked what dishes the children liked and Cecilia acted as if she did not hear and gave a vague answer, “Right, every day I have to cook different dishes for the both of them.” Wowkie did not give up and repeated the question louder. After giving him a glare, Cecilia continued to beat around the bush, “My third child likes milk, the eldest likes white rice, and my second child likes hamburgers. I personally like vegetables.” Netizens were very skeptical about how she could not name a single dish considering how she claims that she cooks for her sons every day!
As well, Cecilia also disclosed that she loves eating vegetables and has never eaten meat in her life. All the hosts were astounded and one of them asked how she can maintain this type of lifestyle. Cecilia answered, “I naturally love eating vegetables, but I can cook many dishes with meat like steak and curry chicken.” However, netizens soon screen capped a picture of her eating meat on a variety show a few years ago.
Netizens also dug up the 39-year-old’s infamous quotes and pointed out the inconsistencies which made her appear to be a casual liar: “I had four miscarriages back-to-back before having Quintus”; “I didn’t sleep while filming for three months”; “I slept straight for 16 days”; “The more I don’t wash my face, the better my complexion is”; and “The more supper I eat, the skinnier I become”.

Frankly, it is none of his bloody business what dishes her kids like. I would have ignore this chap myself.
@hohliu actually none of thr question on the show is anyone business. but it’s a show. if you don’t want to tell anything, why bother going for it? she would said she never met Edison Chen before too, for your liking.
Seriously? She is being paid to be on these shows and she’d better answer these questions!!
I find her to be quite a fake. I haven’t seen a photo in which she appears with her new baby. Is she ashamed of him? So many new mothers are proud of their newborns.
@afan202 I don’t mind her lying, but just make sure it’s consistent lol There are many fake people. We just have to identify who and stay away from them. haha
Maybe she doesn’t want her newborn to be affected by the public like before?
i used to know a girl who was a compulsive liar too. she would tell these outrageously impossible stories about herself with a straight face. she seemed like a decent person so you’d believe her even though you are thinking inside how was that ever possible. then she would lie more and you’d find inconsistencies, that’s when you realized what she had been saying, was probably most likely fake. i guess you would have to really lie a lot to not remember what you said.
So weird. She really doesn’t seem to know the answer to his question and she cook for them all the time? If someone ask me what my kids like to eat, i can tell them right away. And they pay her to go on these show? Waste of $$
