“Actress Guardian Angel” (姐仔观音兵) 31-year-old, Lai Lok Yi, was able to win over Theresa Fu (傅颖)、Emme Wong (黄伊汶)、Mandy Cho (曹敏莉) and Toby Chan (陈庭欣) in the past despite his low monthly salary of $20,000 HKD. Last year, Lai Lok Yi even brought first-line TVB fadan, Tavia Yeung (杨怡), into his hands, frequenting her house for meals and even sharing her parking space.

Lok Yi was even spotted driving Nicole’s car as if it were his own vehicle! When caught by reporters in the car, the pair appeared embarrassed, with Nicole smiling awkwardly!
It was understood that after the 2007 Miss Hong Kong Pageant ended, Nicole continued to remain in contact with Second Runner-up, Loretta Chow (周美欣), who introduced her to Lai Lok Yi. Shortly afterward, Nicole’s heart was won over by the 6-feet-1-inch handsome and highly attentive, Lok Yi.

In the morning, Lok Yi and Nicole drove their cars separately one after the other exiting Lok Yi’s residence. Furthermore, Nicole’s Mercedes-Benz car was spotted parked in front of Lok Yi’s residence for the entire day on one occasion.

Nicole Li came from a wealthy background, in which her parents owned a beauty corporation, with numerous subsidiaries, including 5 “Dr. Renew” skincare clinics, as well as 16 other beauty centers. The Li family’s assets were valued over $100 million HKD. One of the beauty centers was managed by Nicole, who assumed the title of General Manager for her family beauty corporation. The Li family resided in a $40 million HKD $3,395 square feet luxury home in Ho Man Tin.

I find Lai Lok Yi to be quite handsome. He has the build and look to be a leading man, but needs to work on his acting more. Thus far, his acting doesn’t seem too versatile and unable to stray from nice guy roles, with doey eyes.
He did act this type of role (good guy) and did have leading role. I find his look is mixed from nerdy and baddie.

MTE. When it comes to looks and outer appearance, LLY is definitely comparable (if not better) than TVB’s current leading siu sangs. It’s his acting that’s the problem. But he’s in a major role for The King Makers, so let’s see how he does then.

Honestly, I don;t think he can ever be the leading man, not unless TVB is so short of leading men they have no choice.
1. his acting skill sucks. Yes, sucks, because between Ron and him, Ron is deadpan, he is serious shocked WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED facial expression all the time
2. his lazy intonation, which is also very very one flat note intonation, kills any character he plays
3. I know he loves acting but he doesn’t show it. There is no fire, no passion, no umphhh in his acting even if he looks like he is trying to look like he is trying.
4. Good looking? Not really, when everything else is just zzzzzzzzzzz. He reminds me of what’s his name? Wong Tak Bun? Zzzzzzzzzzz
5. He is tall, well built, he needs a good action pack wuxia series to boost his image.
6. getting involved with Tavia isn’t the most interesting entertainment pair, something which Tavia knows which is why rumours are she is with Him Law, who for all his faults, is more interesting.
7. So he is now involved with a richer lady and I am sure he is a nice guy with great personality but when will anyone understand what you do off screen doesn’t always translate into the small screen?
8. He needs a villain role, where he can die dramatically. Maybe then he can gain a bit of on screen personality and charisma.

10. Talking about doey eyes, he can’t beat Kenneth Ma. Kenneth Ma is supreme ruler of doey eyes and pouty lips, like Ron is supreme commander of rigid face acting with head out, neck out acting stance. He is just too serious in his acting, even in comedy. In fact, dress him silly and still he looks darn serious.
Which means he really needs a good wuxia series. if he can’t be interesting as a modern guy, maybe as a lone killer with a huge sword can give him a bit of something interesting. And acting can be minimum; as in if looks can kill, literally.

I find Lai Lok Yi’s looks to be fine, but for some reason, he gives a sense of lacking self-confidence. This might affect his acting a little too…? I remember seeing him portray a villain in a modern series, and the acting was not the best.

I suspect that Him might be on steroids as many bodybuilders do it..but I don’t think he had work done on his face/ eyes..from what I recall, his eyes have always been like this.

Well, a lot of relationships in the circle don’t really last anyways. Today you are with someone, then the next day you are with another person…That seems normal even in real life until you find the one that you want to settle down with.
I’m 100% that Him Law uses performance enhancing drugs. And he’s not the only one. There are a few that i suspect are using it too.

Athletes may use performance enhancing drugs but not sure why actors would need them. I think Him might’ve juiced up to get quick results for his buff roles but I can’t think of anyone else suspicious.
How can you be so sure? He is after a young guy and who has a body that may be more athletically built. He isn’t that huge a size is he? Not like Stallone?
Do remember Him’s shirtless pics during one of the pageant’s swimsuit shoots? He overshadowed all the girls w/ his Mr. Incredible body.

Actors use them to get quick results and for physical appearances, hey they rely on good looks to make a buck. I reckon (and this is only speculating, you don’t have to agree with me, when i see celebs who get “beefy” in no time i get suspicious) Kevin Cheng, Moses, Ruco, Raymond Wong, Him Law. And Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic (yeah they get tested but i’m sure they work out ways to use it “subtlety”.
I disagree. I believe they exercised hours every day with experts helping them for months, much like what Daniel Craig did for Casino Royale. I refuse to believe they used steroids.
Ofcourse not all use steroids, however i suspect that Himhim is on something “gamma” since he is just too big ala the Hulk.
Rain in Ninja assassin was pretty impressive saw some clip of him of his training and that seems hard work.
I watched a video about how they train the actor before a muscle role. Well, the muscles can grow without steroids in just few weeks but the result won’t last long. And the actors have to keep exercises and no rice diet (maybe just bananas and eggs) for the whole proceed. Of course, their health will run down very fast when they get old.
Him is the only one that bulked up immensely and quickly. Kevin has always played tennis. Ray Wong has had a good body for a long time – see “love undercover”. And I think Moses just worked out to play the boxer in WHB.
Nadal has always had those guns. U think the ATP wouldn’t have caught him by now?
