Yang Mi Denies Rumors with Deng Lun
The A-list actress seems to deny that there’s anything between herself and actor Deng Lun.
Ever since her divorce with Hawick Lau (劉愷威), 32 year-old Yang Mi’s (楊冪) relationship status has been the focus of many. Taking part in reality program Great Escape <密室大逃脱> recently, Yang Mi’s onscreen interactions with actor Deng Lun (鄧倫) led fans to link them as a couple. However, Yang Mi seemed to dismiss the idea of herself and Deng Lun becoming lovers during recently in an interview.
Great Escape has achieved high viewership thanks to the participation of big stars including Yang Mi, Deng Lun, Wei Daxun (魏大勳) and others. The many sweet interactions between herself and Deng Lun provoked many fan comments, such as how Deng Lun addressed her by her first name ‘Mi’ although Wei Daxun calls her by the more respectful ‘Mi-Jie’ (Sister Mi). Deng Lun also seemed to pay special attention to the actress while they are trying to solve mysteries on the show, such as during scary moments, when he would turn back and put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
When told that many fans have started to give them the label of “onscreen couple”, the actress replied, “I’ll support (other onscreen couples). If they try to make a couple out of me,that’s not okay, I’d rather skip that!” This was taken as a denial by the actress that there was anything between herself and Deng Lun.
The show has become increasingly scarier, such as a recent episode where Yang Mi was initially mocking Deng Lun for being cowardly at the start of their task while seated on the bed. However as soon as the bed started shaking, Yang Mi was seen screaming and hiding behind a male team member rather distractedly. Before anyone could calm her, she fell onto the floor and later lept to her feet and rose to hide at a corner after getting help.
Laughing at her reaction, those at the filming scene have remarked, “Sister Mi is so scared that she’s on her knees!” Hearing the light-hearted mockery, the actress shouted, half screaming and half shaking her head in protest, “What’s happening?!”
