“Line Walker 2: The Movie” Drops Teaser Trailer
Continuing the undercover theme, the sequel will play on the tensions in the police force.
Starring Nick Cheung (張家輝), Louis Koo (古天樂) and Francis Ng (吳鎮宇), Line Walker 2: The Movie <使徒行者2:諜影行動> will hit Hong Kong cinemas on August 8. Replacing Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) as lead actress is 25-year old up-and-coming Chinese actress Jiang Peiyao (姜珮瑤). Joe Ma (馬德鐘) has also been previously announced as a new addition to the star-studded cast.
Shot on location in various countries including Myanmar and Spain, the film is directed by Jazz Boon (文伟鸿) and produced by Andrew Lau (劉偉強). Although it features many of the same cast as in the first film, the narrative will take on a different arc with new character settings, while being loosely connected to the first movie and even the drama series. Charmaine Sheh will not reprise her role onscreen, but those looking forward to other popular characters such as Foon Hei Gor, played by Benz Hui (許紹雄) will not be disappointed.
The movie poster shows the three leads all geared up with weapons, while a Spanish bull-running fiesta is depicted at the bottom. The only conversational scene in the trailer shows Louis and Nick’s characters looking at each other sternly, with Nick asking Louis imploringly, “Still the same good cop act? Aren’t you tired?” and the latter shooting back, “Aren’t you a cop too?”
