Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and The Hippocratic Crush <On Call 36小時> costar, Him Law’s (羅仲謙), romantic rumors were red hot. According to a tabloid report, Him allegedly lamented to his friends that his “girlfriend” was a “fierce tigress.” Tavia admitted that she was a “fierce tigress,” but only fierce in the sense that she was intent on making money!

As for HIm, TVB seems like promoting him and even plan to make him a lead prolly in the next few years (well, it looks like it after his incident with Theresa).. Even Him received a bad reputation from beating up Theresa, tvb was seems by his side and even made Theresa to apologise even its not her fault and that shows tvb is heavily publicity Him into another stage.
So, even if the rumor of them being “together” is true..I don’t see why TY would be hesitate to jump into bed wiht Him since Him has future with TVB plus he’s handsome among girls’ eyes.
Can’t really praise the paps for “catching” Moses & aimee b/c I think that couple was practically inviting pics to be taken, by not closing the curtains and conveniently feeding each other by the window.
And the media never caught theresa and Him together even though they dated, broke up, reconciled, then broke up again. We only found out after theresa told the reporters.
So it is possible that tavia and Him are dating. She seems rather coy w/ her answers. If she didn’t like him, wouldn’t she adamantly deny it? Especially since the media is not portraying her in a good light. It should be quite embarassing to be called a lusty tigeress.
Oh and Him Him doesn’t seem to be much of a deep thinker to me. So I can’t imagine their relationship consisting of just meaningful conversations…

In acting wise, I am impressed with him’s acting progression. He shows improvement and kinda convincing in his role as a junior doctor in 36 hours on call.

But if I remember correctly Him was consulting with Tavia and at that point he didn’t know she was related to Mandy. And when Mandy asked about her father’s condition, he didn’t say anything, it was herself questioning her father and she found out. Frankly I don’t get the medical stuff but quite dramatic to know that is not your father and suddenly in walks someone else who is your father. So her hate for Tavia stemming from her father being looked down by relatives now is transfer to the fact that she missed out on a privileged upbringing, I think?

Very nice discussion on why Mandy being hateful towards TY. My prediction is like this though.. that at first, mandy hates TY and her family because she made her mom’s miserable for half of life. Mandy thought everything was TY’s dad fault hence the hatre gathered and so on.. And now mandy has to accept the reality that her “real” dad wasn’t really her read dad while the guy she hates for most of her life is actually her real dad… I think that will even make him even madder.
Imo, I think the person should take blame is her ‘mom’ for hiding mandy’s real status from his actual dad for years.

The problem is he mentioned mandy’s name. Even though he doesn’t know they are sisters, he shouldn’t disclose medical info on coworkers’ family either.
And he should’ve told mandy, “if I made a mistake in the pt’s chart, I will correct it” and grabbed that chart back f/ her. Not let her freely look through it since her “dad” didn’t know what info was written in there.

But in the end the patient himself revealed his own condition to his own daughter. I suppose that absolves Him Him.

I think now it may not refer to sexual aspect. Come to think of it, when a woman is described as lioness or tigress, it is more like a very domineering woman, someone who gets her way when she wants it her way and no other way. In Cantonese speak, “color wolf” is often used to describe a lusty man, in which the sexual interest is bordering on perversion. While a woman who is described as a “tigress in bed” means that she is wild and animalistic in bed, the complete opposite of a “dead fish.”
The combination of “狼虎” ultimately means a hungry, fierce, and lusty tigress in bed, which has negative connotations. If described as simply a tigress in bed, that is still okay, but the combination of “wolf-like and hungry” is not a good connotation, in which one’s sexual desires are overtly strong.

Physical age gap is not the matter. Mental and emotional maturity are. Anyway, I read a study that says most of these couple breakup because of social stigma.

I believe it’s true to some extent. Take a look at Kenneth and Nancy. Both have been rumored as a couple for a while now. Kenneth recently admitted dating Nancy last year, but they broke up. I won’t be surprised if Him and Tavia come out next.

I glanced briefly at the contents on 21CN regarding Tavia’s article. It is a highly speculatively piece regarding Tavia and Him Law’s relationship, but Tavia herself has basically denied the allegations of her being a lusty tigress in bed.
The intention of news contents posted on my site is not to defame anyone, but to share the news regarding popular HK celebrities. This may include good news and bad news, news originally written in Chinese in a glorifying or sometimes even not so flattering manner. The intention of sharing such news again is not to defame or criticize anyone, but rather to let HK celebrity fans know what is going on, what viewpoints are presented in the media, etc. Much in the same manner why you would have shared the same link on 21CN.com. If you did not find the article to be of interest or of significance, then you would not have posted the link on a Tavia fan page.
The 21CN article as I mentioned is highly speculative and people will realize that as well. However, it does present the source of where all the rumors of Tavia as a fierce tigress came from, provides continuity to an earlier article I had posted. I had already promised a reader that I will post it tonight, which I will do so.
I understand your gesture in not wishing to see the English version of it shared widely because you are concerned whether people will take it seriously and perhaps use it in their own manner for slander. Again, that is not my intention and the viewpoints of the commentators represent their respective viewpoints and do not represent my site.
My site is an open forum and while there have been critical comments expressed here, there are also fair and praising comments about Tavia as a competent actress. Again it is a matter of selective attention.
People will say what they wish to say and it is impossible to control other people’s opinions or their thoughts. Even if I were to not post this article, there may be other people who will chance upon the article and post an English version up. If such a piece exists, there will be people who will read it, whether it be in English or Chinese. Even if the English speaking fans are not discussing it, the Chinese speaking fans will. Or what fans who may see the piece and decide to repost it in other languages, such as Vietnamese or Thai? As you can see, people will talk and find a way to talk no matter what you do. I think it is best to be open-minded and realize that while people share different opinions, you can try your best to influence them respectfully but no need to get overly upset.
Regarding the crediting of link, it is more of courtesy practice. If reposting original work or derived works, then it would be of general practice to credit the source.

I was watching “Your Class Is Mine” recently (Yes its old i know, I believe Him Laws first leading TVB series?) IMO i think he was good, they had alota newbies in that series (Apart from Oscar – not newbie) he was/is a solid actor and i teared during the “father and son” scene near the end
IMO he wasnt horrid actor to begin with so if his this good now i cant wait to see him in a couple of years, he can only go up.
Id like to see him in a full serious role set in the early 1900’s or something next.
IMO the love lines will go down like this.
Kenneth and Tavia seems like a obvious pair but Mandy will either fall for or uses Kenneth to get back at Tavia.
Tavia will avoid her feelings for Kenneth as “that’s her sisters man” but some accident will happen to one of them and the other will realize their true feelings for one another.
In the end Mandy will prob get with Benjamin after she realises all the things his done for her.
Him has a crush on Tavia but will get with the other intern girl (dunno her name) after he too realises what shes done for him
Derek and Paisley will get together

Funn, I only watched until the 2nd episode, so I’m not too sure about the cases, but I bet the cases makes up 30%, and all the family/love/angst part is 70%???
So far I am very happy to say cases which involves human stories is 60%, family life 40%. But yes everyone has a nickname.
Funn, At this point, I really can’t stand Tavia, especially with how one of her fans just acted, so if I watch it, maybe I will foam at the mouth and go all rabies and attack her. LOL (With words that is)
So maybe when my opinion of her improves, then I will watch it.
Tavia is ok in the series, even if I feel she is wrongly cast. It is just very distracting to see her you know? Forget what the fans say or behave. Do watch it; it is quite different in its own way.
Of course I know, it’s kinda like she attached a huge blinking satellite onto the tip of the nose and everyone can’t help but be transfixed at it when it’s on screen.
Maybe I will give it a go as Kevin’s Mystery in the Palace and Let it be Love is ending soon. Let it be love is really a good show though. I will be sad when Jonathan Chik leaves TVB.

Him’s acting is inconsistent, but, he seems to fare better in series than movies. His acting was very bad in ‘Marriage with a Liar’ and ‘Love is the Only Answer’, but, improved a bit in ‘Beach Spike’.

Woah. I am surprised some people think she looks older than she really is! Personally I think she looks really good for her age (I believe she is 33 this year?) and probably younger than 33 considering how other people of the same age look much older than her.
Though I must say I think the hair does a lot in making her look more mature, but her face does not look old! haha
I think Kate Tsui and Bernice Liu look younger than her :). And Shirley Yeung also looks younger although she is already 34. Not the matter of her hair since some ppl have the similar hairdo with her but it just makes them look younger, not older. For example: Charmaine in Heaven Burns look younger than normal curvy hair of her.
