Dickson Yu Asks Fans If They’ll Still Support Him if He Dates Sisley Choi

30-year-old Dickson Yu (余丞德) went back in the soccer field this week to film the variety program I Have a Date with Star <我和星星有個約會> with three lucky fans. In August of 2018, Dickson had a close brush with death when he fell into a coma after playing soccer with a group of friends. He regained consciousness two days later.

“It’s been a while since I last played ball,” the TVB actor said. “I love it too much. Why would I give up on it?”

Dickson then coached his three fans—Cherie, Vanessa, and Miss Chan—on some ball tricks at the soccer field of his secondary school, the Wah Yan College. He said, “I’m very happy to have such supportive fans. I’m happy to be able to fulfill their dreams. It is my dream as well, to be able to play ball with them.”

But Dickson admitted that he still has some reservations about doing sports. His doctor had advised him to exercise only moderately, and Dickson said the incident has left a shadow in him. “I definitely feel much better now, that’s why I’ve started playing again. It was a gradual progress. I tried hiking first, then jogging, then passing the ball, then leading on my own, to now, back in the field.”

As a former student of Wah Yan College, Dickson toured the school with his fans, introducing the school’s physical education fields, classrooms, and the garden. He shared that because it was an all-boy’s school, he was never the most popular student. He also said he has never won a soccer game while being a student there.

Dickson and the fans had endless topics to talk about, including some recent gossip involving his alleged relationships with Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) and Chrissie Chau (周秀娜). The fans told Dickson that they prefer Sisley, to which Dickson asked, “If I announced that I’m dating her, would you guys stop supporting me?” A fan said, “No, but I will be a little upset.” He then joked, “Don’t worry. I haven’t announced it yet.”

Realizing what he had said, Dickson quickly clarified, “I meant to say, I never thought about announcing it at all!”
