Savio Tsang Deals with Lung Issues; Admits Taking Long-term Medication
Starring a group of older veterans, TVB Anniversary drama Finding Her Voice <牛下女高音> is airing to positive response. The drama is already half way through its airing and the cast are continuing to attend promotional events. Recently, Savio Tsang (曾偉權) attended an event and expressed that while happy that the drama is airing to positive reception, he will be sad to see it end.
“Actually, the ratings is not the most important thing. The key thing is for the audience to recognize the moral of the story. In simpler terms, it is to tell everyone that even if you are getting older, having a dream and aspiration is what gives life its meaning and passion. I hope that everyone in Hong Kong has a dream they can chase,” said Savio.
Earlier, it was reported that Savio is having issues with his lungs and is on long-term medications. The 57-year-old actor shared, “I’m actually resting right now and have cut back on my projects. I want to deal with my health first. Actually, I’m just having slight issues with my pulmonary immune system, but I don’t want to get into too much detail about it. I don’t want to take away from the purpose of today’s event, which is to promote the drama. What I can share is that it is a long-term recovery. Because it is an immune system issue, I will have to be more careful with my day-to-day lifestyle choices.
Unbeknown to many, Savio is an animal lover. For many years, he would collect animals that have died on the streets and deliver them to the crematory for proper cremation, believing it is a form of paying respect to animals even in their deaths. “I have been doing this for a long time. I want to honor them and give them respect, even in death. I feel that being dead on the streets and having your body just laying there is a very sad thing. All animals are cute and they will multiply the love you give them by several folds. They don’t care if you’re rich or anything. Being with animals is very simple. They are easier to get along with than humans! It would be great if humans could get along simply like that.”
