C Kwan to Get Married on December 13

With his wedding date set for December 13, FAMA‘s C Kwan (鄭詩君) and his DJ girlfriend Wong Tin Yee (黃天頤) shared the exciting details for the big day.

Spending a year planning for the event and booking the venue a year in advance, C Kwan’s wedding will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in the Central district. During the planning process, C Kwan said he and his girlfriend were both heavily involved. They wanted red maple leaves to be part of the wedding photo background, so the pair flew to Japan and took photos near Mount Fuji.

Unlike traditional wedding photos where the couple would pose in a wedding dress and tuxedo, C Kwan opted for a different look. The theme for the photos was “happiness” so he didn’t want to wear such fancy outfits and suffer in the cold. Tin Yee also believed that the actual wedding gown should be saved for the wedding day. The couple also brought along their two cats and included them in the wedding photos as well.

When asked if he is worried about the bridal games on the wedding day, C Kwan laughed and said his buddies have him covered. His groomsmen crew, including Best Man Billy Luk (陸永), Tony Hung (洪永城), Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), and Edwin Siu (蕭正楠) are used to pranks on variety programs so playing games wouldn’t be a problem for them.

Asked if he would feel more financial pressure after getting married, C Kwan said there is pressure on anyone trying to live in Hong Kong regardless of marital status. Aside from housing, food, and daily expenses, C Kwan expressed that having children would definitely one of the biggest challenges.

Since thalassemia, an inherited blood disorder, runs in his family, C Kwan has to make sure to do a thorough medical exam before deciding to have children. However, the 36-year-old said having children is currently not on his mind as he is busy with work. Currently working on a movie soundtrack, C Kwan has to juggle between work and making time for his wife, family, and friends.
