Yang Mi Denies Dumping Hawick Lau for Nicholas Tse
Yang Mi (楊冪) has become the new “It Girl” in Chinese cinema. Hong Kong and mainland China directors clamored to work with her. Increased popularity also brought along negative gossip. Rumors circulated on the Weibo blog community that Yang Mi’s relationship with Hawick Lau (劉愷威) has ended, claiming she was now dating Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) instead!
Since Yang Mi’s bikini scene in movie All’s Well Ends Well 2012 <八星抱喜>, the 25-year-old left a deep impression among audiences. Her filming fee allegedly rose to $12 million HKD. After Yang Mi and Nicholas Tse filmed bed scenes in their new movie, Ghost Bullets <消失的子彈>, rumors claimed that Yang Mi had entered Nicholas’ hotel room at night in an attempt to seduce him . Although Yang Mi’s management company declared the rumors to be false, her name continued to be romantically linked to new bachelor, Nicholas Tse.
Yang Mi and Nicholas’ bed scenes were cut in the final version of Ghost Bullets. Nicholas had joked that he “did it for nothing,” referencing that the intimate scenes will never be seen by the public.
Yang Mi Denies Rumors
The “love triangle” between Yang Mi, Nicholas Tse, and Hawick Lau was a hot topic in many online communities. Some netizens even criticized that Yang Mi’s acting and singing skills were only average, yet she was frequently in the news and had numerous headlines.
On her Weibo blog, Yang Mi wrote, “In love, you have to believe and understand each other.” Hawick’s fans replied, “There is no more trust in love.” As her rumors with Nicholas grew more vehement yesterday, she added, “Lies. I will wait and see how long you can hold on,” addressed the originator of the false rumors.
Nicholas’ EEG manager, Mani Fok (霍汶希) said, “We will not respond to false rumors.”
Jennifer Tse: “What Does Yang Mi Look Like?”
When asked about her brother, Nicholas’ rumors with Yang Mi, Jennifer Tse (謝婷婷) claimed she was unaware of the matter and did not know Yang Mi personally. Jennifer commented, “What does she look like? Is she the type of woman that Nicholas likes? Is she suitable for him?”
Jennifer did add that Nicholas had paid attention to his beautiful costars. Jennifer said, “He always said that many women are beautiful.” Asked which women he found to be attractive, Jennifer replied, “I do not know who they are. I do not remember their names.”
Lau Dan: “Yang Mi Is a Good Girl”
It was understood that Yang Mi and Hawick Lau’s relationship was going well. The couple’s relationship went public in January after Hawick was spotted allegedly spending the night at Yang Mi’s house. Yang Mi will be appearing in Hawick’s new modern mainland drama, Clear Midsummer Night <盛夏晚晴天> in which he will serve as a first-time producer.
Hong Kong TVB actor, Lau Dan (劉丹) was contacted regarding his son, Hawick’s breakup rumors with Yang Mi. Mr. Lau said, “I have not heard of their [breakup]! Wah! The rumors have spread so outrageously? How is that possible? They (Yang Mi and Hawick) are getting along very well! When she came to Hong Kong earlier, she visited my house. She is a good girl. Do not let the rumors harm her reputation!”

But I think their love is genuine.
Yang Mi is better off dating Hawick rather than Nick. Who wants to be in a relationship where the mother and sister has their two cents worth regarding if the girl is good for their son/brother. If I was in Yang Mi’s shoes I rather date and later on settle down with Hawick, who wants to date a single father with a publicity seeking ex-wife behind the scenes.

well shes always claims that Nicholas Tse is her idol n that was when he was sitting married i think and she talked about how a loving husband and father he is n that he is her idol at one point. But yes, she also came out w/this Hawick Lau a while ago so it might not be true yet but i dont know i dont see this cute YM/HL couple will last that long ahaha… i dont no just a feeling celebs who knows..

This might be true… Yang Mi did publicly admit how much she admires Nic. She’s still young, and now a rising star, so I won’t find it surprising if she dumps Hawick.
