Huang Yi’s Ex-Husband Sentenced 15 Years for Drug Trafficking
Mainland Chinese actress Huang Yi’s (黄奕) ex-husband, businessman Huang Yiqing (黃毅清), is sentenced to 15 years in prison with probation for drug trafficking, as ruled by the Hongkou District People’s Court on Friday.
He will also be deprived of his political rights for three years, with the government confiscating 50,000 yuan of his assets.
Huang was arrested last August for selling five bags of methamphetamine, weighing 80 grams each, between December 2018 and July 2019 to a man known by the surname Yu. They did their business dealings near Huang’s home in Shanghai. Huang has admitted to his charges.
Huang Yi, also known as Crystal Huang, married Huang Yi in 2011 and divorced in 2014. They have one daughter Alice Huang (黄芊玲), born in 2013 in Los Angeles.
