“Dance of the Sky Empire” Ending Spoilers Revealed?

Starring Xu Kai (许凯) and Wu Jiayi (吴佳怡), fantasy period drama Dance of the Sky Empire <天舞纪> is, in theory, a romance drama about a group of teens working through their struggles as they go to school set in a fantasy world inspired by the Tang dynasty. But the series is more than just about a bunch of kids trying to survive fantasy school.
Based on the novel of the same name, the series is about Li Yun (Xu Kai), a young man of controversial origins. He is half man and half devil: his existence immediately compromises the temporary armistice that both clans have agreed upon years ago. He is entangled in complicated relationship triangle with the devil spy Su Youling (Wu Jiayi) and the human Long Wei’er (Yu Xingtong 于歆童), which forces him to choose a side.
While the series is still ongoing, the novel’s ending implies a happy finale—Li Yun brings peace to the two clans and lands with the responsibility to rebuild Chang’an while protecting the peace of the two clans. Li Yun also ultimately chooses Su Youling, finding happiness and bliss.
