Bae Suzy and Park So Dam Are Potential Actresses to Play Marvel’s Silk
It’s always an exciting and sensational moment when a Marvel Universe superhero makes their live-action debut. So just like how the announcement of the Asian superhero movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings became a buzz worldwide, the recent rumor of female Asian superhero Silk getting her own TV series is also receiving significant attention. Fans are in a heated discussion as to which actress will play Silk, and as of the moment, South Korean actresses Bae Suzy and Park So Dam are speculated to be potential candidates.
The role of Silk, also known as Cindy Moon, is a Marvel Korean-American superhero with similar abilities as Spiderman, except she has faster reflexes and a stronger Silk-Sense – her version of Spiderman’s Spider-Sense.
Though nothing is confirmed, Suzy and So Dam would reportedly make a great Silk due to their popularity and acting background. A successful idol-turned-actress, Suzy was recognized for her acting skills in hit romance film Architecture 101 (2012), from which she earned the label as “Nation’s First Love.” She has amassed many fans over the years with her well-received performances in dramas like Dream High (2010), While You Were Sleeping (2017), and Vagabond (2019).
While Suzy dominated the small screen, So Dam is more well-versed on the big screen. She has an extensive filmography and gained international popularity for her critically acclaimed performance in the black comedy thriller film, Parasite (2019). At home, she has been a rising star in the film industry, with her sweeping multiple Best New Actress awards for her engaging performances in The Silenced (2015) and The Priests (2015).

i wonder if the show will be filmed in korean instead of english since i don’t think the girls are fluent in english….
@m0m0 is it bad to hire a newbie who can act, can speak English well even if she was born in America? As long as she 100% Korean or 50% like the character (I don’t know the character), then where the actress is, should not be a problem? These two actresses are already famous, they don’t need this lol. Give other actresses a chance?
Don’t they just need to go through extensive language training if they do get the role?
