Terence Yin Wants to Get Back with Ex

Last year, Hong Kong actor Terence Yin (尹子維) and Chinese actress Xu Dongdong (徐冬冬) went from dating, to being engaged, to breaking up, to becoming friends, to possibly getting back together. It was a whirlwind of a ride, but today, Xu Dongdong has made it clear that she’s put the nail in the coffin.

According to media reports, Terence recently purchased a luxury apartment in Ningbo for 5 million yuan, with the intention to give it to Dongdong in hopes for a reunion. Dongdong herself confirmed these reports on Weibo.

“He tried to give it, but I did not accept it. He’s a good man. We did not get back together,” she wrote.

Accepting her rejection, Terence wrote on social media, “I just want you to do well. I will always support you.”

Terence and Dongdong dated for a year on and off, before finally announcing their engagement in April 2019. Four months later, the couple called it quits, stating that they were better off as friends. In March 2020, the ex-couple were seen together in Beijing, leading to speculations that they had reunited. Dongdong later shot down those speculations by maintaining that they are just good friends.

Dongdong herself has seen a rise in popularity after dating Terence; according to a 2020 list on the top ten biggest web film celebrities, Dongdong was number two, and the only actress on the list. Her web films have grossed over 150 million yuan in total.
