Jennifer Shum Confirms Engagement with Non-Celebrity Boyfriend
TVB actress Jennifer Shum (岑杏賢) confirmed on her 32nd birthday that she is now engaged!
The subtle announcement came while Jennifer was celebrating her birthday at a party arranged by her close friends Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯), Tracy Chu (朱千雪), Kayi Cheung (張嘉兒), and Angel Chiang (蔣家旻).
Wearing matching pale dresses, the five girls posed in front of a neon sign that read, “Happy birthday our beautiful bride-to-be.” Jennifer also flashed her engagement ring in the photos shared by her friends on social media.
“I hope you like all that we have prepared for you,” wrote Roxanne on Instagram.
“One year ago you caught my wedding bouquet. One year later, we are throwing you a bridal shower. Happy birthday beautiful bride-to-be,” said Tracy.
According to reports, Jennifer and her boyfriend, 34-year-old Kelvin, had been dating for some time. They met at a mutual friend’s wedding, and started dating two months later. Kelvin works in the financial industry.
Meanwhile, Jennifer’s ex-boyfriend, actor Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), successfully proposed to his girlfriend Bowie Cheung (張寶兒) last year. While engaged, Ben and Bowie do not have plans to hold a wedding soon.
In regards to Jennifer’s marriage announcement, Ben said, “Wishing them happiness and bliss!”
