Pakho Ho Retains Cameo Role in “Line Walker 3”
Although Pakho Chau (周柏豪) was confirmed to reprise his role in Line Walker 3 <使徒行者3>, his screen time appears to have been cut short in response to Mainland Chinese netizens’ outcry over the star’s pro-democracy stance. With speculations heating up, Pakho admitted that his character is limited to a cameo appearance. However, the star is not concerned that the controversy will further impact his career.
Insisting that his screen time in Line Walker 3 was always meant to be a cameo appearance, Pakho said, “I only had a guest role and filmed two scenes. Netizens said that I filmed many scenes and that I was unhappy that my character got cut. This never happened, so I am a little perplexed.”
Since he has not watched Line Walker 3, Pakho cannot confirm if the final edit made any additional cuts to his screen time. Pakho would feel disappointed if his character does end up being cut because he made the appearance to support the drama.
Reflecting on His Social Media Controversy
During the controversy, Pakho felt scared and admitted that he had a difficult time dealing with public criticism, “I felt awful at that time, and my family and colleagues were worried about my well-being. When I read the fans’ supportive messages, I broke down many times. Right now, I am no longer affected by the public’s comments.”
Pakho shared that the experience changed his perspective on using social media, “I never expressed my political opinions, but now I am very sensitive to the topic. It’s difficult to express [any opinions] in this generation.” Since his posts can be twisted and then blown out of proportion, Pakho decided to stop using social media.
Does Not Want to Work in China for the Time Being
While the controversy undeniably damaged Pakho’s image in China, the star reassured fans that he is not worried about his career and he still has work lined up. “I have two dramas and two movies being aired in China, so there aren’t any problems. After that, I still have more projects to air.”
Regardless of his controversy, Pakho is cautious about traveling to China because he wants to protect his family during the pandemic, “My manager told me that many companies in China are reaching out to hire me for performances and endorsements, but I don’t want to take the risk and be in quarantine for 28 days for just one event. My family depends on me, and I help bathe my daughter at home. My heart is with my wife and daughter, and there are memories that can’t be bought with money.”

Interesting… I wonder where and how he will show up. We’re already 12 episodes in. Either way, I always admired pakho and the respect and love he has for family and his wife. It’s very sweet and I really like that about him. Hope he gets to film a new tvb drama soon!
@sammi – typo in the title for pakho’s last name.
Ugh I don’t know how I feel about this and find it hard to believe they decided to write his character this way from the start. The less scenes he initially had, the easier it would have been to write him out afterwards. If he does show up…. How? As flashbacks with Foon Hei? There’s no way ah Mui n Ting ting knows he is alive in the present day LW3 cause that would send the whole story arc another way…. At least I’m imagining lol. RIP Lok Siu.
@bubbles23 I know right? A cameo role after they didn’t kill him off in the 2nd one? So weird.
@bubbles23 he was supposed to be killed off by ben’s character in the last LW. but in the last part, he didn’t die but was in Thailand.
@janet72 Exactly, they added the last scene in The Prelude to show that Pakho was alive. They were preparing for his comeback in LW3.
The only reasoning I could even think of for how his character was written this way from the start is that the writers felt they couldn’t fit in all the story line. They may be trying to have an ending that leads in to a potential LW4 and end with Priscilla seeing Pakho at the end of the series??
A big stretch from me but I just don’t understand why else his character was basically cut from the beginning.
@ledge The only reason Pakho was cut from LW3 is because of that Insta post he made telling people to vote
Jayne really needs a LW3 discussion only post because I always want to discuss something lol…
I am just in the middle of episode 14 and the past few episodes have been about Owen/Sisley… I don’t love this duo as much as I loved Owen/winki (yet) but I do love their storyline. I think Sisley is doing really well in the show, really shows how she’s improved her acting. But Owen is the one for me right now, tugging at my heartstrings everytime. I love the way he plays this character. He needs to get recognize because he’s put out some fantastic acting this year. He’s the stand out for me so far.
Ben has been really disappointing so far. He’s lost that charm he had in LW2. I get that he’s supposed to be “older” but without it, it’s not the same.
@tt23 I’m at ep 12.. or 11? Maybe just me as I think there’s too many arcs and too little screentime for pretty much everyone besides Sisley. Owen and Sisley literally have the same styling– twins lol!! Mandy is… Well, Mandy, nothing outstanding that makes me turn into her fan. I def think Owen will be a BA winner in a few years.. Very natural, from the heart acting. Haven’t seen much of Ben but yeah I kinda agree he’s back into his boring old Ben self, what a disappointment that he can’t reenact his best role.
@bubbles23 I agree with you about the storylines but I think it’s needed as they need to tell how these two different series are connected it would be different if LW2 had the same cast as LW1. That’s how I view it. And they’ve done an ok job so far of laying it out. I am not confused at all.
That episode when Mandy shows Sisley how to dance… It ruined it for me lol. I’ve never been a fan but I saw a glimpse of BA potential early on but now idk again.
Ben doesn’t have a talent to be a serious actor. It’s his personality and charm that make him likeable so without that, i don’t find his acting genuine for example his role in The Departed. Major disappointment.
@tt23 I remember when my friend and I both saw Nancy Wu doing a dance, we went WOW. TVB just slot in this Mandy Dance to flaunt her skills (and nothing else) but me and friend didn’t even blink an eye…. I personally think Mandy just does not have the X factor in her to wow audiences.
@conan2209 I saw some scenes from this old drama with Charmaine and Joe Ma that also had Mandy in it and you’d never guess that she would become one of the top actresses at tvb because boy she was plain looking and (imo) she’s not pretty compared to other actresses in her age group.
@tt23 the story isn’t confusing, but I miss the fast pace from LW2 since it was more focused. Whatdoyall think? Will Sisley become the breakout winner? Will tvb piss off Mandy if she doesn’t win?
@bubbles23 in my opinion, she’s plain too..wonder why TVB promote her. I wondered the same too when they promoted Myolie. ;p
I suspect TVB got to appease Mandy’s fan, many felt she should have gotten it in 2018 (was it the year she had the role with split personality?). Then again, who knows what goes behind the negotiating table re artiste contracts.
Sisley lack the charisma too but she has definitely improve lots!
All I wish for is Ali to get most popular role and Cash/Zero to get best onscreen couple
@conan2209 mandy’s acting in threesome was freaking terrible I don’t know why people thought she was good, because she was playing three characters? It was so over the top and fake. Ali definitely deserved best actress for who wants a baby and Ali overall is a much better actress.
@luye I agree with your airport strikers comment – that role was him trying to be “manly” or someone with an ego, if you catch my drift… like @bubbles23 said roles with a human side/heartfelt he excels in. Or like you said low key badass
@tt23 probably cos she was playing 3 different personality? I didn’t watch the show at all so I can’t comment. You know the part in LW3 where she was playing with the lifts? I went MEH….it was soooooo fake!
@conan2209 yeah she just seems out of character sometimes? Like I get it’s trying to show that she had childhood trauma and probably on the spectrum, but she’s very high functioning, so it seems so weird she just goes prancing around people messing up elevators, ESPECIALLY as a senior level officer. Idk, do I blame the delivery of the script or the actor?
@bubbles23 I think the actress doesn’t know how to portray the complicated character. She is supposedly smart and all right? I can’t tell from her portrayal…..to be honest, Pris kind of stiff too, I hope she’ll get better. Though I do not appreciate Pris’s acting, I quite like her (prob cos I like Edwin)
. I watched Episode 1 of the other show that’s running now, the witness, Willie is fantastic in portraying the character! Pity I won’t bother to continue cos I don’t like both Him and Kelly

My comment got cut off 🙁
Anyways… possible ***spoiler alert*** you have been warned…
Thoughts on cheuk hoi’s wife dying? So heartbreaking. I also love Elena, she’s so underrated so I am sad she was only part of the series of a bit. But I get that was the only possible way to freely move forward with cheuk hoi’s storyline.
@tt23 Elena is so underrated I wished they would give her a melodrama ( not like tiger mom) where she’s first lead. She can definitely be a Sheren Tang.
Spoilers**** * * *
*****
Tbh I don’t like that they decided to take Cheuk Hoi through this way with her dying and everything but the way 1 ended I guess this was the logical choice. Elena’s character is absolutely heartbreak after heartbreak. Also Owen is almost crushing LF in terms of the character (I’m on ep 13). This drama is like promoting Owen n Sis so much I don’t get how airing LM2 as the “competitor drama” is fair to the other people lol
@bubbles23 I mean we’ve seen Michael mui play a cop so many times I think they wanted to switch it up? Idk Elena and him were really sweet, enjoyed their story so that scene was very heartbreaking.
I am honestly…. obsessed with Owen right now hahaha. There’s something about his acting that pulls at my heartstrings. Ugh love him, I’m happy he’s getting the spotlight right now. I completely agree with you that he is outshining LF right now. LF is spot on as bao seed but that’s pretty much it. I need him to bring it to another level but also he’s LF so whatever he does people will generally like lol.
And yeah… it is not fair and also it is two shows that are very popular and many have been waiting for. I don’t mind though. Love Owen, Sisley has really grown on me because she’s really matured. LM is one of my favourite series and hope man is the best of Vincent’s acting.
@tt23 Owen is checking off my boxes the more I see him. The way he’s sentimental and loyal to his friends in his characters is very likeable. Also I want to mention this in ep 14 around the middle where Owen is talking to Cheuk sir with the blue n green stalls it looks soooo much like the scenes in LW2, and the store sign looks so familiar… please confirm lol
@tt23 Agree that Hope Man is Vincent’s best role so far. I dont think any other actor wouldve done a better job. But I think he will get his eyesight back in LM2.
@bubbles23 Mandy & Natalie are both pretty boring to watch imo.
I didnt really like The Prelude that much. I’m not a fan of Moses’ & Jessica’s roles. The only thing that’s making me watch LW3 is Raymond. I feel like Benz Hui doesnt have much screen time in LW3, which sucks!
If Sisley is good in Legal Mavericks 2, there is a possibility that she will win BA. Mandy doesnt look like the type to get pissed off. Her personality seems easy-going and happy, unlike the roles she gets casted in.
@luye looool she seemed kinda upset that she didnt win in 2018, or maybe I’m reading too much into it. She seems more easy going irl but she seems very determined too and I feel that makes her acting too “harsh” and trying too hard. Anyways, next year’s competition will be tougher than this as we’ll have Mandy, Selena, probably/hopefully Grace W, Priscilla making a run for it.
@conan2209 Are you talking about Nancy’s pole dancing scene in DIE Again?
@luye strange my reply didn’t appear. Was saying can’t recall title of show but boy Nancy was sexy in it! I just can’t label Mandy as sexy
@tt23 Ben is boring in serious roles.
@tt23 Owen always creates sparks with his co-stars. However, he wasnt great in Airport Strikers. His best roles are as gang members. He will probably win an award this year, especially if Legal Mavericks 2 airs.
And yes, @jayne please create a LW3 discussion!
@luye I beg to differ lol I think his best roles aren’t the gangster ones. He has that morally good character vibe to him imo, his best was Gogo and Ko Bun, and his smaller, older roles like in Swipe Tap Love and Karma Rider were also “good guys”
@bubbles23 Oh yes, maybe gang member wasnt the right term. I do love his roles as Gogo & Ko Bun. I think those type of roles suits him best, when he is low key badass.
@tt23 I agree with you re a forum to discuss the series or any series that’s showing currently! Only then I can go on raving about Ali ;p
Me again commenting on a past post to talk about LW3 lol.
No spoilers I am only on episode 18 but I saw that they released a ton of episodes, up to episode 30 – does anyone know why?
