Ruco Chan and Phoebe Sin Out on Grocery Shopping Date

Ruco protects his family by implementing strict hygiene for visitors to his home.

Since his daughter Quinta’s (陳諾瑤) birth in April last year, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) has started practicing strict hygiene to safeguard against germs, such as regularly sanitizing his entire apartment. With the current Covid-19 situation, the 43-year-old actor is even more cautious in daily hygiene practices. Not comfortable with leaving matters in the hands of their domestic worker in case of any hygiene lapse, Ruco would rather head out personally to shop for groceries and would also order other necessities online.

Recently, Ruco and his wife Phoebe Sin (單文柔) were spotted shopping at a local market which they frequent. Organizing their trip well, the couple got all the groceries they needed within just a single run, with Phoebe handling all the cash transactions and engaging in friendly banter with a stall owner who recognized the duo. Ruco thoughtfully got Phoebe to head back to the car to wait for him while he carried two boxes of fruits from a fruit stall, before driving back with their groceries.

Teaches Daughter to Put on Her Own Mask

With the increased time they spend at home, the couple turned their space into a very comfortable nest. Ruco had acquired the three-room unit in Tseung Kwan O in 2017 for $12.8 million Hong Kong dollars, and officially moved in only this year. The new dad thoughtfully created a kid’s corner for Quinta, which include an indoor canvas tent decorated with balloons and a comfortable padded play corner.

Placing an air purifier in Quinta’s room, Ruco also taught her how to wear a face mask and cleanse her own hands with sanitary wipes. He also instructs their domestic worker to wipe and disinfect Quinta’s play toys daily. Friends who visit Ruco’s home need to be dressed in protective clothing before they can contact his daughter. The actor joked that the hygiene levels at his home are as strict as the hospital’s intensive care unit.
