Bae Suzy’s Plethora of Designer Bags in “Start-Up”
Starring Bae Suzy, Nam Joo Hyuk, Kim Seon Ho and Kang Han Na, Korean drama series Start-Up follows a group of young and hopeful millennials who dreams of starting their own start-up companies in Sandbox, the fictional Korean version of the Silicon Valley. Hovering between four to six percent ratings, Start-Up has a solid viewership following, and critics are also praising the series for being “chase-worthy.”
However, there is one aspect of the show that is really bothering viewers. It involves Suzy’s character Seo Dal Mi, who dreams of being the next Steve Jobs. Dal Mi isn’t from a wealthy family, and she herself is quite stingy due to her low middle class upbringing, so seeing her carrying designer’s bags worth well over $3,000 U.S. dollars, is quite an eye sore.
It doesn’t make sense to see to see Dal Mi wearing so many designer items, but according to fans, it is possible that Suzy’s stylist has to accommodate her endorsers, hence why Dal Mi is a little out of character.
Each bag only showed up for a few seconds on screen, but it was enough for netizens to chop it all up and digest it.
Check out some of the designer’s bags that Dal Mi has below:
Dior Bobby Bag — US$3,250
