Five Chinese Artistes Who Are Also Rich 2G
Thanks to a successful career in entertainment, these artistes are rich… and even richer than we originally thought.
Quite a few Chinese artistes actually come from wealthy families and are legitimately fuerdai, but have chosen alternate methods of getting rich instead of following their parents’ footsteps. Here are five actors and singers who were already rich before they debuted.
#1 Huang Zitao (黄子韬)
The former K-pop singer inherited 20 billion yuan when his father passed. Tao doesn’t hide his wealth, and often shows off his purchases on social media, including bags, mansions, and also a personal jet.
#2 Zhang Ruoyun (张若昀)
The Joy of Life <庆余年> actor comes from a family of his wealth—his grandfather Zhang Zhixin () is a famous architect and geologist from Beijing, while his father Zhang Jian () is a filmmaker, best known for his war film Snow Leopard <雪豹>. He also owns a communications company, which was sold for 500 million yuan.
#3 Feng Shaofeng (冯绍峰)
A graduate of the Shanghai Film Academy, Feng Shaofeng chose acting over his family’s textile business. According to reports, his family’s business is worth over 1 billion yuan, and has business all along the coastal regions of mainland China. Despite being the only son, Feng Shaofeng has no interest in his family’s business.
#4 Dong Zijian (董子健)
Dong Zijian’s mother is Wang Jinghua (王京花), who had managed movie stars such as Chen Daoming (陈道明), Carina Lau (刘嘉玲), and Hu Jun (胡军). The actor himself is also the largest shareholder of production company Beijing Culture, and is worth nearly 160 million yuan.
#5 Hua Chenyu (欢晨宇)
The singer, who made his debut through the Super Boy <快乐男声> competition, hails from a family that manages a silver mining business which produces over 500 tons of silver a year. His uncle Hua Fukui (华福奎) is the board chairman of Hubei Xinyin Precious Metal.
