Fala Chen Gives Birth to Daughter
Married to IT entrepreneur Emmanuel Straschnov in 2019, Fala Chen (陳法拉) resides in the United States and would fly to Hong Kong occasionally for work. No one knew Fala was even pregnant, so she certainly surprised many with the sudden announcement of her daughter’s birth.
Fala’s happiness as a new mother is evident. Sharing a photo where the couple hold their newborn daughter’s hand, she wrote on social media, “The past 10 months have been a wondrous journey, filled with unknowns, amazement, love, and lots of joy. Our hearts are full as new parents, and we look forward to every day with this little lady. The 10 months of pregnancy were not easy but the moment I laid my eyes on her – I knew everything was worth it. We’re thrilled to be new parents!”
Responding to the media’s questions about her delivery, Fala expressed, “’Little Minnie was born near the end of the Year of the Rat. The birth went smoothly and we are both in good health. She has little dimples like her mother. Thanks for everyone’s well wishes – being a new mother, I’ve been very busy. I do hope to see everyone soon. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy Year of the Ox.”
Upon hearing Fala’s good news, many friends and colleagues left congratulatory messages and their blessings.
All eyes were on Fala’s career development in Hollywood last year, when she landed a role in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. With the timing of the baby’s birth, Fala was suspected to have been already pregnant when she filmed for the Marvel movie.

Wow. Never a million years knew she’s pregnant and now already gives birth? She’s good at hiding her belly similar to Cecilia Cheung with her 3rd son. I wonder where did she give birth at? The daughter must looks cute with mixed.

Not surprised at all, bc if you look on her IG and FB, lately pictures are all above the belly, and she didn’t have much weight gain on her face. It’s nice when one doesn’t have HK media hoovering over you. Congrats Congrats.
I wonder what’s her baby girl’s name? Ava, Sophia, Emily, Emilia, Charlotte? Something very trendy?
